Check in was easy online and hassle free. The parking was reasonable and was great to have secure parking. Every staff member was polite and professional. A little understaffed in bar area in terms of floor staff to take food orders. Had to get up and ask a member of staff to take our order. Also when you drop food to a table always ask if you can get the customer anything else don't just walk away. This was our only complaint about our stay so over all an excellent experience. Food was delicious and at a good price point. The room was beautifully decorated and maintained to an exceptional standard. Best nights sleep i have had in a long time. The bed was so comfortable and the bed linen was of great quality. I would go as far as to say the most comfortable hotel bed i have experienced. The price and valve for money was amazing. I can't wait to return in the future and would stay at any clayton hotel again if this is the standard. Thank you.
We had a beautiful meal in the hotel Restaurant the evening we arrived. The bar atmosphere is is warm and friendly. After a great night's sleep. The next morning The breakfast staff were excellent and the buffet lay out and choices were top class. 10/10. The fresh porridge that you can order from a staff member is excellent. Well done Conor and breakfast staff.
I am going to leave this review to say thank you to amazing people who helped me during my stay at Clayton. In particular the head chef Eddie, Angelo, Fernando and the operational manage I sadly forgot to ask his name. I was injured outside the hotel, whilst wondering what I need to do, I ran to the hotel reception to ask for help. Fernando took me to the amazing and compassionate head chef who helped me to calm down and kindly took time out of his busy schedule to care for the injury. They even called me in the evening to check how I am doing. Their compassion, care and kindness significantly impacted my experience not only at this hotel but in Dublin. I am very grateful for the care and kindness. I will miss our breakfast check-ins. Overall, the service, the food, and the room was perfect. Thanks everyone.
A great place to stay as it is not too expensive for its location. Its a 5 minute walk from the train station which will take you to Dublin City centre and surroundings. There is underground parking and plenty of spaces. The hotel is clean and tidy. The rooms are very pleasant and spacious and comfortable. There was no air conditioning but a fan was delivered to our room as it was a warm night.
The rooms are very comfortable although can be a bit noisy in the evening and early morning if your room faces the main road. The rooms don't have AC which in Ireland for 90% of the year would not be a problem but when you need to open the window to cool the room it can get noisy. The restaurant is OK and service can be slow some evenings. I sat two hours one evening and nobody took my order and finally I was told the kitchen was closed so I had to settle for a sandwich delivered to my room. I wouldn't stay here through choice as it quite far out from the city and there are very few local bars and restaurants so they have a captive audience hence the bar prices being quite high. Food & drinks: The menu is limited and service can be slow some evenings and the drinks are slightly on the high side.
Stayed for 5 nights and have to say the hotel was great. Breakfast and dinner were both really good. Only negatives were the light on the TV unit was so bright i had to cover it each night, and the pillows were all too thick for me personally but overall very good.
We stayed for business, and it's always an agreeable place to stay. The snow was great!!! This 5 star review is for your receptionist Conor. He was very helpful, and went above and beyond to help my daughter and I when the cold leached every bit of power out of our car battery overnight. He is a credit to the hotel, I hope you appreciate him as we did. Happy Christmas to you all, and thanks again Conor.
Booked two rooms for my brother and myself for 1 night. Very clean, comfortable and quiet inside. Staff were exceptional, all round delightful especially the bar and restaurant staff we spoke with. Would return without hesitation, thank you. Worth noting food was excellent as well with plentiful portions.
Staff not friendly or helpful. Hard to understand their accents and very unprofessional, from the receptionist to the cleaners to the breakfast staff. Very noisy hotel. Bedrooms need to be updated. Beds are small and uncomfortable. No air con in room, extremely hot at night. Breakfast was cold and not topped up regularly to keep food fresh. The only half decent thing was a croissant. Wouldn’t stay here again.
Check in was super easy online which I loved! Booked a room for one night for 3 people, we received a double bed and a single bed which was perfect. Upon checking the room we were disappointed to find one set of towels and a dirty sock not belonging to us in the single bed. Of course we got in touch with reception and they assured us they would send someone right away to clean the room as requested. No one arrived. No air conditioning in the room so super warm at night. Staff were very friendly and the buffet breakfast was delicious but unfortunately our trip to this hotel was disappointing because of the sock Walkability: Luas is 5minute walk away from the hotel making it very accessible Food & drinks: Large selection at breakfast, all hot foods sausages beans tomatoes mushrooms hash browns etc. Multiple types of eggs and breads. Good selection of pastries which come out warm
