Excellent experience. Sunday roast was outstanding. Small and gorgeous inside. Really nice staff. Desserts wondrous. Only nine tables, so you better book. Reasonable cost. Proper village pub 10 mins from Stonehenge, feel quite lucky to have been there.
A tiny little pub, not far from the busy area around Stonehenge. We had the Sunday lamb roast and a great ale. Just what you'd expect.
Fair price, excellent serviceand really tasty, fresh food large portions. Had mackerel fishcakes, salad and chips. Best salad and dressing I've ever had in a pub. Pleasant traditional style pub with beams, tankards on display and inglenook fireplace
It was fine but not fantastic. What’s up with UK restaurants all being order at the bar?
A friendly pub for a drink and a stop over when driving on the 303. The food is old-fashioned though, do we still need plain boiled vegetables in a side dish, it felt like going back to 1972. A quick spin in a wok would be better. My husband’s faggots were ok but nothing to write home about and looked very grey. My Thai fish cakes came from a packet I think, and were pricey if so. They were dry and the flavour was about as distant from a Thailand as you can get. I’d go back for a pint but I wouldn’t eat there again. Good pub, not a restaurant.
Great proper English pub Simple, but delicious menu with generous and well-presented portions. A few very good ales on tap ... you need no more! Large sunny rear garden and welcoming to families. Some parking available although we walked from the nearby campsite. If you're looking for a 'gastropub', maybe check somewhere else. The Boot Inn is an authentic, honest English pub!
We were unfriendly welcomed by the landlady who seemed overwhelmed by us 7 in an almost empty pub. When asked if our kids could have just an order of chips we were told that this is not doable, as the chips were sides to the main dishes. The landlady didn’t show any flexibility. We took our business 2 miles down the road to the Bell Inn, where we were greeted friendly and all our complicated wishes were fulfilled easily.
Our family had an amazing Lunch here. Portions were big service was amazing. Definitely will come back.
Lovely pub, warm welcome, food was beautiful I've not had steak that nice in a long time
I cannot recommend stopping here. We were greeting very unfriendly by the owner and told we couldn’t put our order in as they were slammed with orders in he empty pub. When we wanted to order just portions of chips for the kids along with our mains, we were told they do not just sell chips. Very unfriendly and unorganized!
