Came here with friends on a Friday night at about 10:30pm, the place was completely empty, which maybe should have given us a clue. Some of the staff were friendly but some were very grumpy and ignorant. Two of us had the Chef Special Tali which was very disappointing. Not one item on the platter was enjoyable, the curries were too sweet and tasteless. This was our first time at this restaurant and we will never return.
Came here with 5 work colleagues. The food was excellent but a little pricey. Waiting staff were very attentive and helpful it doesn't hurt to smile a little, though!. Quite a narrow establishment, with a single walkway from the door to the back of the restaurant but once sat down, it's like anywhere else. Nice big naan breads and the normal 4 toppings for your poppadoms. All 6 of us were very happy with our food. There is a car park at the back of the restaurant, which is free after 6 but pay and display or paybyphone app
The food was very bad, never have had a chana masala that has a sweet flavour, and in a coconut based gravy…. Biryani too was pathetic!!… 100% avoid food from this restaurant, never ever have I thrown away food but this was first time that bad to throw away food..
We had a delivery from this 'apparent' award winning restaurant, and we were expecting something at least edible, and for over £30, this was a joke. First off, all the dishes were cold, the poppadoms were bendy and not crisp as they should be, like they had been sitting out on the table for five hours, the rice wasn't thoroughly cooked, hard and tasted microwaved, the curry itself was laden with an abundance of sugar, which made me feel rather nauseated, and the naan wasn't cooked fresh, and was extremely small. I expect my food to be made fresh, not to be sat on a back burner, just waiting for a person to order it. This is quite possibly the worst curry I've ever had.
Pathetic dining experience, we waited for nearly an hour to receive food, a portion of starters were undercooked, biryani had no flavor and just tasted like coloured rice, the gravy we ordered was tangy and sweet rather than balanced and spicy. Chappathi's were hard like taco's and Naan breads were store bought than freshly made. Food per item is quite expensive and doesn't match in quality for the price we pay. Manager wasn't bothered to rectify any item after our negative feedback. We will never return here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone either.
Not an authentic taste. The place is very small and feels very crowded due to the setup of the seating. The paneer tikka starter costs £10 but there were only 5 pieces. Absolute rip off. But it was fresh. The mushroom curry was mostly like tomato curry. The chapati and naan were ok. I wouldn't recommend it for an Indian if you're after authentic taste.
Fantastic curry house! Recently gone through a change of ownership, and all the better for it. The interior is clean and well-lit, and we were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the chef even came out to meet all diners. The menu was a really interesting array of fusion dishes, with lots of options that I hadn't seen before. The service was quick and the food tastes great. Prices were about average but expect to pay more for the real speciality dishes, like the enormous platter for two. Great experience and can't wait to go back.
Yet again appaling service stone cold food. Forgot to deliver the pomadoms but didn't forget to charge for them. Called and they said they were too busy to deliver them. Have given this dreadful place chances in the past but never again. I will also be advising everyone I know to avoid like the plague.
