Story

Formerly, an 18th Century coaching inn, The Anstruther Boathouse still commands the prime location at the edge of the Firth of Forth. Located on the harbour front in the coastal town of Anstruther, The Anstruther Boathouse has everything you need to enjoy great food and drinks, fantastic fun, and quirky accommodation!
Our exciting menus are a must for all kinds of foodies and guests travel from far and wide for our fantastic fish and chips, famous burgers d wide range of beers, lagers ,spirit and wines. Relax and enjoyin our restaurant, bar or beer garden.
We are so proud of our music sessions and you simply must make your way to The Anstruther Boathouse, the home of the original and best Sunday Social, every Sunday.
Cheeky Wee Burd originates from The Anstruther Boathouse and the cheekiest beach craft you are every going to seeing is available to purchase. All pieces are made from bits and bobs reclaimed from the beaches of the East Neuk.

My friends and I came in because we were too hungry to wait for a seat at Anstruther Fish Bar. The service here was great, our fish was light and flaky, and we got to try haggis which was delicious, by the way - I don't care what it's made of. Glad we came in instead of waiting 2 hours for a table at the other place!

Delightful stop for coffee and scones. Very clean, well-spaced and with excellent personal attention from Audrey. Would definitely go back another time.
Great food. Friendly staff. Could do with adding peas to the fish n chips, made the plate look as if it lacked something. The quality of the food was good. My wife had the seafood chowder, she loved it.

Had lunch here with yesterday. Excellent food and service from Tammy. Felt comfortable with the Covid-safe procedures. Furnishings dark with lots of wood. Has an old-fashioned pub feel inside which is ok but wouldn't suit everyone.
We had lunch here today. It was outdoors because of social distancing etc. Food was delicious and fresh. Great value for money and staff were first class. Thinking of booking an overnight stay when available. Really pleased
