Second time here - both very good. Soup lovely, Curry very flavoursome and good presentation. Granola very tasty. Only let down was fish and chips where we thought the fish was a little overcooked and the same for chips. HOWEVER we will definitely be going back for a steak night on a Wednesday and I would say again another time too. Service very friendly. Good atmosphere.

Booked a table for two for 7:45 here, at just past 9pm our main course actually arrived. After waiting an hour and a quarter we were very disappointed to receive food that was barely acceptable. The "skin-on hand cut chips" tasted like they'd been cooked in week old oil and left sitting for hours, simultaneously greasy and dry. I ate two or three and left the rest as they were inedible. The burger was flavourful but dry and shriveled, however the bacon was tasty. The staff were pleasant but we will not be returning as we can get better food, prices, timing and service at Wetherspoons. Sad waste of £52 and our evening.

Our first but not last visit. Tasteful pink roast beef and moist and tender roast pork. Nicely seasoned sides and sauce, too. Puddings delicious! Excellent wines by the glass. The Boars was recommended to us and rightly so. To top it all the service was warm, friendly but also professional. Marshalls.

Nice spot for Sunday lunch. Food good with some nice options on the menu. Staff friendly and attentive. Relaxed atmosphere in both bar area and main dining room. Very nice garden area too. Parking can be problematic since the car park is very small. Parking (which I appreciate the owners can do little about) is only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely ambiance. Food was tasty but chips hard and short rib beef was miniscule. Fish of the day beautiful. Personally I think it was overpriced. However I had a lovely evening and would go again but would choose more wisely.
