Lovely old public house. Dog friendly. Staff also very friendly. Great menu with quality products. We loved the Asian Slaw salad with our Halloumi starter.
A very pleasant pub with warm surroundings. A decent menu but beware the burgers are big for kids so you can ask for smaller ones. The camembert was enjoyed by all and they have a selection of non alcoholic cocktails which were exciting and tasty. If I had one small wish it was that the mains menu could have been a little more adventurous but I appreciate it's difficult to cater for all tastes. The starters looked great. The staff were amazingly helpful and tried really hard to make our visit enjoyable.
Family Sunday birthday treat for 12 at 2pm was a great success. Preordered meals mainly roasts we’re ready on time. Service from the young waitresses was very thoughtful and smooth. Nice wine, local ales and comfortable setting opposite the bar. Happy with everything
Good experience. Attentive waiting staff! The beef burger was very tasty. It had a lot going on and the jam and mustard sauces inside were quite punchy. Roast beef was nice.
Certainly not local to me personally but will be more than happy to make the journey in the future. Lovely, warm, engaging welcome matched only by the food. Camembert was a joy. As was the setting. Already planning the next visit.
After an excellent duck breast as a main I finished my meal with a superb crème brûlée. These can be hit and miss - too many places want to add their own ‘take’ to this classic pudding resulting in some frankly bizarre concoctions - here though you very much get the classic version and this is very much a hit. Thank you The Boars.
Honestly one of the best places to have food. Expensive but worth every penny! We had the most delicious meal with my family last weekend. Every time we have been it has been incredible. Always recommending The Boars to others. Starters are good to share with others. The main meal of duck was mouth watering.
Wonderful evening. Waiters and waitresses very friendly and helpful. All three courses delicious.
Amazing place for food and drinks. Expensive but absolutely worth every penny. Sunday lunch was to die for and the espresso martinis went down a treat. We will definitely be returning. Service was impeccable, they were attentive and super smiley
Some friends introduced us to the monthly breakfast session. Very good idea and the pub seemed full at 10am. Not an extensive menu but perfectly good enough with traditional English in large or small and eggs Benedict or avocado on sourdough etc. Attentive, friendly service so all good and would recommend. Can't comment on the rest of the day's offering but I suspect it would be very good.
