Late lunch today in this popular little restaurant. I had beef and cashew nuts with noodles my husband had garlic king prawns with ginger and noodles. We sat in the corner beside the stairs. The food comes quickly freshly cooked I was dissapointed to get a lot a big mushrooms which I put on my husbands plate. The menu has no mention of mushrooms there was plenty of carrot onion peppers and mini sweetcorn on both dishes but a severe lack of cashew nuts on mine, my favourite so was dissapointing. We have been in here a few times in the past six months it's great for a quick lunch. I would go again but ask for no mushrooms and more cashews. Staff efficient toilets upstairs so as a disabled person not ideal I had to wait until I got home.
Exceptional food with a wide range menu for all pallets. This cozy thai restaurant is welcoming and always has a place for you. A little gem in the center with excellent customer service and delicious food. I have never been disappointed with the dishes I tasted after visiting it on various occasions. Would highly recommend.
Another great meal. Never fails, always good service, if you like Thai food this is definitely the place to get it. This place is now named "In Town Thai Restaurant". I have visited twice since the name change, style of the menus have changed, the freshly cooked food is still excellent.
Amazing Thai food, must for Foodies! lovely family owned and very welcoming. Can't fault any of the dishes and they'll happy cater to your needs such as how spicy the dishes are or the ingredients.
I got an egg fried rice. Cant be simpler. I wasnt as hungry for a proper meal, but I kind of regret it now, as the rice was great, really quick and the service was superb even for a £3 quick meal. They filled my water bottle, they were really kind and the place looks great. Gutted I never have excuses to go to Gloucester, but I might have now!
I visited this place b/c of its high review rating and its proximity to the Gloucester town center, however, the food quality was not matching the expectation, and the hygiene was even more frustrating. The service was fast, but the food was mediocre, and the entire table was sticky with thick grease. You can have better choices in town serving more tasty Thai food combining with fair price.
I had green curry normally my favourite food and it was very hot, - despite the menu saying it wouldn't be very hot. It was also very salty which covered quite a lot of flavours. I asked if I could have pineapple pieces to cover the hotness but the waitress said that wasn’t possible, although the waitress told us there were canned pineapples in the kitchen. The pineapples were strictly only available for sweet and sour dishes, and that I couldnt get pineapple for green curry. I didn’t want to seem like a difficult customer so I tried to eat the food but couldn’t because it was too hot and salty. We told the waitress it was too hot and told that again at the end of dinner too. We got no compensation, even though we asked and even though the hotness rating was far more than the two chillies on the menu.
Haven't had a bad meal here!
Very unhappy with Service Provided. I ordered Masaman & my partner had Thai Green Curry both had level 2 spice on menu. The Masaman was as expected, but really nothing special. The Green Thai Curry however, was way too hot, & extremely salty. Neither me or my partner were able to eat it, & we eat this particular dish a lot. We didn't even bother having it put in a container for the dog. As my partner was embarrassed to complain, she ate dry rice only. I mentioned before recieving the bill, that the Curry hadnt been touched, as it was too salty, & far hotter than indicated on menu, - however they were unwilling to offer any type of discount. I thought the Customer Service was unproffesional, the place itself looked like a cheap Korean Cafe, & I would advise anyone to avoid the place, unless they want a couple of days off work with the lava sh*ts.
This is THE best food for Thai. I have been going weekly for years, everything on the menu is impeccable and made with love by the amazing Thai family that run it. The most amazing little back street set up with food you can only taste in Thailand. Thank you Blue Thai! Try it if you havnt you will never go anywhere else, well, except when they go back to Thailand for a few weeks each year :
