This is the best restaurant in the area that I’ve been to so far. I thought the service was good, the owner seemed nice and seemed like he legitimately cared. The quality of the food here should be the standard for restaurants in the area. A 4.5 is a more accurate rating for me, but that’s compared to a 5 star being way more expensive Michelin starred meals for me. The portions for the dishes were a bit big for my personal preference, but I think the portions are pretty standard for the area.
Incredible service! The servers and manager was very attentive. The food was delicious and had rather large portions for the main course. You can find a variety of pastries, breakfast sandwiches and a few other unique breakfast offerings. They make the chocolate milk in-house and it is very rich! I highly recommend this place as a nice weekend brunch spot.
Not sure how I've never left a review here yet. I've been frequenting Blue Door for years now. Honestly, nothing has even come close to touching this place for more reasons than one. Absolutely top notch on every level. The owner is awesome. He's great with customers and keeping his restaurant a place people wait hours for. Their head chef is just..... *chefs kiss*. Absolute talented sweet heart. It's not rare to see him walking through the dining room checking on guests. It's just such a welcoming place. All the staff is incredible. I've never had an experience less than perfect. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet. Lord have mercy. I will say, the prices are more than your average breakfast spot. HOWEVER, one taste & experience there will show you why. Their food is truly a work of art, created woth local & organic ingredients. The portions are enough to feed two or three people. And they're anything from the norm. The specials are always to die for and so unique. If you're a simple person, they have literally the best thick bacon, eggs, English muffins made in house I've ever had. I could honestly go on forever, but I hope you'll take the time to find out for yourself!
This is my favorite restaurant around hands down. They take pride in using quality ingredients and all their dishes and perfectly planned down to the smallest details for the best taste and presentation. It’s a popular place, for good reason, especially on weekends. We always go right when they open or utilize the wait list system. Every week I hop on their website to check out the specials which so many are very special! Their bacon is also beyond and they do flights of that if you are into that kind of thing.
This place has no need for good reviews. It needs to close at 2pm in order to recuperate from being bum-rushed by adoring customers. I spent more than $30 but I also ordered the most expensive item on the menu and bought a loaf of sourdough bread to go. I bought the loaf to spread this phenomenal experience throughout the rest of my week. It’s a large crusty loaf of sourdough so my plan is to finish it off by making French toast and croutons if it turns hard before I have a chance to eat it all. In the future I plan to stop by to at least pickup a loaf and probably one of their phenomenal looking chocolate croissants when I don’t have the time to stay and eat. I sat at the bar across from the kitchen window and everything looked so good it made it difficult for me to choose one main course from the menu. When the waiter asked me what I will have I chose the steak and eggs because that happened to be what I was reading about at the time and my thought was ‘how can I go wrong?’ It was outstanding. Next time I will go for either their strawberry blintzes or something involving one of their croissants. If your hungry, you really don’t have to worry about walking away dissatisfied or hungry. I suggest ordering what ever seems the tastiest to you at the moment. This place is a treasure to the community it serves.
Oh my goodness! This place is heaven in a breakfast / brunch setting. You can not go wrong with anything here. We loved the scones, muffins and chicken & waffles. Be sure to check in or get on the waiting list ahead of time because this is a local favorite. Customer service is exceptional as well.Recommended dishesChicken & Waffles, Bakery, Pastries
Hands down some of the best brunch food in all of Ohio!! You can tell that everything is made with quality ingredients, the drinks and food are always incredible, baked goods are delicious, and service is top-notch. Their corned beef hash is one of our favorite regular menu items, but we’d recommend trying their seasonal dishes too, as they change regularly.
My wife and I have lived in Hawaii, California, Texas, and New York so restaurants are something we are a little experienced in. This place is truly unique- you can tell even just standing while you wait for your seats. As the foods come out for other patrons you can see that these are handcrafted beautifully assembled dishes by master chiefs. The food is of high quality and delicious- we live in Brecksville but the drive is totally worth it. You gotta try this place at least once.
Absolutely incredible. Best pancakes I have ever had. Service was great! The croissants are amazing. Love this place! Also we didn’t have to wait today, but they get very busy very quickly so we went right at open.
Wow, this place rocks. We got their at 820 and barely made the rush so come early. The food was all kinds of awesome. Best quiche Ive ever had. The warm boozy drinks were also great. Cant wait to come back. Thank goodness we opened the blue door. Cheers!!!
