Came here mid week, for the price we couldn’t complain. Been a few times and tried a couple of different meals. All the old fossils giving this place a 1 star need a reality check. Where can you go these days and have a meal for two with drinks for under £25? No where. The app helps with not having to interact with staff, just want to come in, eat and leave. Good value for money, warm, comfortable and convenient.
Just stopped by there on a rainy day. Nice pub and famous for the locals. Had a cuppa and took some rest to continue my drive.Food: 4/5
We spent a couple of hours having nice drinks and chatting on the first floor mezzanine, people watching is a very underrated pastime but we love it. First time here for day drinking but will definitely be back , great day spent in a nice location.Service: 5/5
Downstairs coffee machine has been broken since at least December last year meaning to get a drink you have to keep going upstairs. Not a problem for most but I had to carry 3 full cups down with no free hand to hold the rail as they wouldn't fetch my disabled grandparents drinks for them as they were with me. Poor service and with the money they make surely this machine shouldn't still be out of order after 3 months
Food not presented that well ..service is fine...atmosphere fine...to be honest its just a place to have your first drink of the night outFood: 2/5
The food is not great here, but some friendly staff & nice place to sit and relax.Food: 3/5
Lovely little pub! Well done out. Ate here for the first time on Friday and was not disappointed! Great as usual for wetherspoons! Service was so quick. Food came out very quickly. Chicken pasta Alfredo was gorgeous as always, scampi and chips lovely and chicken jalfrezi was really tasty. Would come back to eat again. Drinks are always great too. Lively on a Friday night.
Went today to order food and coffee. Was told that the only coffee machine working was upstairs. As I was using crutches following a recent operation I could not use the stairs so I explained this at bar but the response I got was 'can you get someone to fetch it for you '. No offer was made to get it for me. So I politely said just forget it and left. Terrible service.
As far as spoons goes this is one of th better ones in the area. Lots of seating with an additional outdoor area and upper floor areas as well as good disability access. Food and drinks offerings are the same as any spoons but the draught quality of the beer is good. Not much to complain about ! It's quintessential spoons ! Wheelchair accessibility: Side entrance for wheelchair users with ramp.
Popped in for a quick one, the place was busy and lively, we were served very quickly and the beer and new line of wine which was on tap was excellent, will be going there again soonService: 5/5
