First night in 8 months me and the missus managed to go for a dinner date without kids which we were needing . Ordered 2 sirloin steaks 1 rare, 1 mid rare , onion rings to share and a bottle of 19 crimes . I had to open the bottle of wine myself I was fine about it and kinda laughed it off . Food took was 20 minutes and looked good when it came . Our steaks were both mid well , my curly fries and onion rings were very undercooked , my partners steak was no joke 50% fat . I wasn't going to complain as we were hungry and we did eat the majority of the food but when I went to get a lemonade for my partner part way through the meal I got charged £2:50 for soda water we were judging like that was purposely done . Its a shame as we were looking forward so much to food and the time together. In the picture you can see the fat on my missus steak and when I use to work in kitchens that food would of not left the kitchen . £45 for a bad experience for 2
Very busy so glad we'd booked our table. Extremely long wait for food, and didn't arrive together a good 5 mins before rest of food showed up. Food good, and desserts very nice.
Had not been in a while, due to covid and personal reasons unrelated to the restaurant. Took a younger friend & her 6 year old. Their food they stated was " Just Okay" I got the " Hunters Chicken" it tasted NOTHING like " Hunters Chicken" the sauce was awful, the chicken meal was NOT cooked and hot. The meal in my mind was dangerous to eat. I told them It was uneatable, and settled for a bowl of chips. Was very very disappointed.
Visited this friendly, warm, welcoming bar/ restaurant with members of my bowling team early this week. As usual the welcome was warm, staff friendly and helpful and the menu flexible enough to meet all our needs. I had acsizzling dish which was fresh, hot and delicious. Roll on the next team meal.Food: 5/5
Really nice. Lovely day ,so we sat outside, plenty of room and well spaced out. Good sized car park and plenty of choices for outside seating. Just a really good atmosphere. Staff there if you need them but left you to enjoy your time. Food was perfect and with two meals and two drinks for less than £25 its 5 stars all day long
The food did appear to be good, it was well cooked and we both enjoyed it but, my wife was violently ill very quickly after eating on our way home. She does have a shellfish allergy and I can only presume cross contamination in the kitchen was possibly to blame. It might not have been but she was very well before we ate and her allergy is the only thing that causes the symptoms that she suffered. I returned to inform the manager and he apologised but I didn't feel it was that sincere. He did not inspire me to return.
Great pub/restaurant and nice beer. The blossoms is very cosy and spotless clean. Staff are very friendly and inviting, especially the manager Phil. We only popped in for a quick dinner but ended up staying until closing time. Myself and my partner will be going back sooner rather than later. Thank you.
Food was excellent but sadly the service was very disappointing. Lack of coffee cups causing a long wait for coffees after a meal!! We were literally waiting for diners to finish their coffees before we could have ours! Never seen anything like it! This, along with unhelpful, rude and miserable staff who didn't seem to care at all and offered no apology whatsoever made a Christmas lunch rather lacking in the festive spirit.. Will think twice about visiting again. We all like good food but come on the service is just as important!!!
Excellent value and great quality food especially the fish and chips. I would also like to bring JOHN the waiter to your attention - he is always very professional and polite and a credit to the Blossoms Sizzler Restaurant / Pub. I actually live and work in France for 6 months of the year and therefore accustomed to high standards. John is a credit to your organisation, please kindly acknowledge and reward his commitment and hard work at the Blossoms, Ansdell. Dr Martin TURNER
Had a lovely meal, the staff were all friendly and very accommodating and interacted well with my young kids. Meal choice for the kids was really good and very easy to find something they'd eatFood: 5/5
