The food is immense. Choice is great, changes every week. Service is excellent. Amazing vegan options.
They are doing the Covid thing fine. I'm not local but friends are, as a local it is good for a pint and chat. If you've a family it's good for pub grub I'm told. It's not a destination pub.

Lovely pub, amazing atmosphere lovely staff... Great food.. but...only a one part pour on the Guinness, sad times!!...but I'm Irish and very fussy about my Guinness.. ..saying that I still highly recommend this place....Will now be my new local now, I Love it!!! X

Nice friendly staff, even the regulars involved us. Nice deco, nice beer. Didn't try the food but seen it come out and looked appetizing.
Sunday lunch was excellent with a lovely pint of Jennings Cumberland bitter. The food was all homemade and extremely tasty. The service and staff were honest and friendly. The surroundings were a cross between cosy and quirky. The Black Horse is well worth a visit.
