Top class value with gorgeously decked out rooms, helpful and friendly staff. Plus a home cooked breakfast. Set us up lovely for the last leg of St Cuthbert's way walk from Wooler to Lindesfarne.

Good quality food at a reasonable price. Just when I thought I couldn't find a place that served decent chips, the Black Bull Inn proved there was at least one establishment in Wooler that knows how to make chips. The mixed grill I tried was good value and well prepared. The steak and ale pie was okay, but not as good as it was earlier in the year. The pie is no longer served in its own individual dish and has suffered because of it. All in all, a good meal and definitely recommended. By the way, the staff are all excellent. Very helpful and friendly.

Had a 2 night stay over Christmas. The service from the staff was wonderful, the room was well stocked, clean and spacious and the food was great. Would definitely recommend!

We have stayed here for 3 nights this week. Myself and my husband would like to thank all staff they have been fab. The room is very clean, maid service everyday, breakfast is beautiful. We would highly recommend this hotel.

A great place to relax in.  Never tried the food or beers.  We wanted a coffee for our journey and it was just what we needed.
