A place to Discuss, Learn, Play and Create.
Based at the new creative village Fargo in Coventry, The Big Comfy Bookshop provides thousands of second hand books of all genres with the added extra of cake, coffee and tea and even a licensed bar! We've also now added a lunchtime menu.

Regular events occur weekly from poetry nights, author readings and signings, children's story time and even folk and acoustic gigs at the award winning Comfy & Acoustic on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.

It is all ran and organised (scattily!) by Michael who loves books and music

A small place with a cosy and artistic theme. Plenty of books from a wide selection to read and a happy place to be sat for an hour.

Such a great venue. Gutted I've not been before! Definitely recommend it. Came for the acoustic night, and loved every second!!

Good selection of books, great music, delicious food and lovely comfy atmosphere... Ticks all the boxes - one of my favourite places in Coventry! Definitely worth a visit.

This is one of the most chilled spaces I know in Coventry. Shelves and shelves of books, great food, knowledgeable staff and a range of workshops, gigs and other events combine to create a very special place I don't go back to as often as I should.

I really like The Big Comfy Bookshop!

It is a quant used book shop that is family owned. The owner spent over a year compiling books to open his shop, and ever since has kept a good variety of books that are unique to customers, or a popular search result of a used book.

There is always fresh coffee, tea options, beer and wine, and some sort of snacks like crisps or cake for sale. Seating is available to hang out with friends for a little while or to start tucking into your future purchase.

Also I noticed that live folk music nights and game nights regularly occur here too! Great place!
