Wonderful bar, serving fantastic food and drinks. Great food selection with reasonable prices. I'd recommend The Guinness Beef Pie. 1/4 wines are served, as well as beers and spirits. No trip to Derry is complete without visiting The Bentley Bar.Food: 5/5
We showed up without reservation but staff was able to accommodate us. We tried the skin potatoes and nachos for starters, which were delicious and big portions. For mains, we had the lasagne and the belly buster burgers along with 3 sides. Oh my goodness, food was delicious and portions were enormous, that not even my husband could eat it all! I found the prices and portions excellent. Would definitely visit them again!
Going to a concert so had booked a table, something another establishment wouldn't let us do. To be fair it was a bit of good luck because we were not disappointed. There were 4 of us and our meals were fantastic. We had main courses and desserts and a couple of drinks. It worked out about £22 per person, so fairly reasonably priced to. Will certainly make this our first choice for a meal next time we are in Derry.
10 of us reserved an area, watched the rugby then had dinner. Staff were great and very friendly. Food was lovely, toilets were clean. Prices were fair, couldn't have asked for a better evening. Oh and we won ! Definitely recommend the Bentley, we'll be backFood: 5/5
I Was here to see the carabao cup on sunday past. There is plenty of screens to watch the footy, whether it's Scottish Premier League or Premier league or the cup competitios. As a non drinker, there's a good range of non Alcoholic beers and drinks. The non Alcoholic beers are not overly expensive either. I have watched the football here a couple of times because of the range and price of these beers. The food is really good too, quite a good menu aswell, everything from pasta to steaks to burgers. The Bentley is bigger than you think, there is a number of sections within the premises, lots of spaces to find a spot to munch good quality food and drink. We managed to get a wee section for Newcastle united fans to watch the match decent enough for around 20 of us and there was food service available. Staff are really nice and very helpful. I also loved the fact they promote being dry and out, with a campaign I saw, this really makes a difference for non drinkers like me, gives us a place we can go, socialise and not be beer pressured into drinking and that culture.
Good, great food, recomend tacos and chilli beef! Highly recommend it for all on the menu!Food: 4/5
Visited last Sunday evening. Awful experience. Firstly didn't have steak fillet which we only discovered when going to order. No problem, ordered sirloin - blue/rare. Steak came out and it was well done. Sent it back and 10 minutes later received the order completely wrong from what was originally asked for. Didn't bother sending this one back as I was already way behind the others so just got on with it. To top it all off as we finished the mains the place started to vibrate from the club music being pumped out very loudly from the floor below. I'm genuinely not one to complain often at all but everything here serving staff aside was terrible, couldn't wait to leave the place.
We had a lovely evening dinner, we had starters, mains and drinks. Everything was cooked to our liking and before we had even left we would definitely be back again!
The food is awesome! I've eaten here 3 times, and each time is great, and far above average. The service is .... so-so. We waited a long time for water, and had to request it 4 no exaggeration times. The TV football game in the pub was really loud and it was hard to hear around the table but I admit it -- I'm prematurely cranky about such things. The beer order was incorrect. But the food, really, was amazing.
The food here is really good and affordable. The staff are polite, especially the bar staff. A lovely place to have a casual or more dressed up meal in the town
