Quite expensive for food and drinks but yo be expected at an airport. The food was typical pub grub. The nachos for 2 were really nice and was big portion. Service was fast.
Worst. Burger. Ever. We came prepared, read the reviews before, knew what to expect, but it still blew us away how bad the burger was. Maybe if we would live in an alternative reality where we eat THAT and poo a delicious burger, that's the only way this could make sense right now. By the very helpful bar lady I got to taste the beers before getting one, again, we came prepared, one of them tasted and smelled totally rotten, way to set the scene for the main course. Sent back the burger, got refund, feeling bad for the staff to deal with the situation and that they have to hand out trash.
Had a nice pint and a pie waiting for my flight. Katie served me and was so lovely. The rest of the team on duty were really lovely too and we had a giggle over a joke. Would definitely come back for the friendliness which is so rare to see anymore especially at airports
The best place to eat and drink in Cardiff Airport. Delicious Fish and Chips lovely All Day Breakfast various beers and wines. Friendly and helpful stuff. It was really nice to spend the waiting time in such a great place.Just go and check yoursef! Enjoy!!!
The prices were transparent, the food was exactly what was needed and filled us up. The bar staff member who took our order and made our coffee, however, was an absolute disgrace. I ordered our two breakfasts and coffees... Minus butter and with a soy milk latte for my girlfriend with a dairy allergy. I watched him make my latte looked nice. He then filled that same jug with soy milk, without washing it. I immediately challenged him and I kid you not, he replied "there was only a little bit of milk at the bottom". I angrily reminded him of my companion's dairy allergy and he then washed out the jug under my watch while actually sighing. I raised the issue with the manager on duty who was apologetic and offered to bring us any drink of our choice. We declined as we wanted to emphasise we were not complaining to get any freebies but that there was a serious issue in the allergen training, as well as the attitude of the staff member as a whole, and a real health hazard. Thank goodness I was able to witness the event and we didnt order via the QR codes on the tables or my partner would have been severely ill. I would recommend Costa in departures who really do take every precaution. This occurred on Tuesday 3rd about 12pm.
Worst fish and chips I’ve ever tried, I was starving but had to give up on it after a couple of mouthfuls, chips were dead on the plate and at first I thought the fish may of been off too but it actually smelt of dish soap. The wife had the pie and mash but gave up on that too, your money would be better spent in Costa !
Stays open until last flight boards - that was 9:15 on Boxing Day. The time on Google says it closes earlier which isn’t correct. Friendly team, good value, they were helping people that couldn’t use the QR code menus and gave me a to go cup without me even needing to ask for it. Very impressed!
On our visit after having two cups of rather stale tasting coffees we decided to order one bowl of chips and one of sweet potato fries, these were paid for at the bar but when they were brought to the table we were informed that they had run out of salt. How’s can an establishment such as this “run out” of salt. No outlet serving food should ever run out of such a staple. Very poor management.
The online menu wasn’t working, so I went up to the bar, and although there were only two staff in clearing tables and getting rid of mess that inconsiderate guests had left, one of them spotted me straight away and came and asked if I was ok. She served me with a smile and had a lovely attitude.
Smallest £13 burger award goes to this place. Going to the boarding gate feels like the walk of shame after this dirty disappointment.
