Just returned after a 1 night stay with my husband and two boys and felt the need to share the wonderful service we received from all the staff but particularly Gill in the restaurant and Irene at the hotel reception. Our boys behaviour had been challenging at points but both these ladies went the extra mile to help us make the most of our stay. As a mum it was a kindness that was greatly appreciated and just made such a difference. Thank you
Had executive bedroom. Bedroom had clearly not been cleaned. Bits of plastic and black thread on the carpet. Sticky marks and bits of plastic on bedside table. Oily marks on the marble around the sink and on top of the bath. Was reported to reception and was told they would sort it. The only thing 'sorted' was the oily stuff around the sink. Can't fault the restaurant....table service excellent, staff lovely and food fab. The best steak pie I have tasted in years.
Stayed 2 nights with family. 6 adults 2 children. Rooms and we're clean and comfortable. Restaurant service and food we're excellent. Leisure facilities however let the place down. We wanted to play pool and they only had 2 cues for several tables. Arcade had a few machines broken these would have suited a 9yr old and 13 Yr old. Too many slot machines that they couldn't use. Swimming pool, cleanliness in changing room floor was questionable. Overall we did enjoy our break.
Horizons Restaurant was brilliant today 14th January. Great food and great service. Lovely lunch with my daughters Only regret we forgot to leave a tip. Probably because it was a card payment Will remember next timeService: 5/5
Location great as the party was at the hotel. Good size rooms down fall was to single beds pushed together to make a double not very comfortable when 2 people in the bed as can feel where the beds meet. Beautiful views, food nice breakfast is huge.. One of the staff member were quiet rude.
Myself and my family booked an executive suit. We all loved the hotel, the room was cleaned and it was massive. All the staff was so helpful and went above the beyond to help us with our queries. The restaurant was just amazing, we had 2 breakfast there and a dinner. The food was tasty and it was definitely homemade. I can say it was one of the best hotel breakfast we ever had as the components of the Scottish breakfast was all good quality. The only downsized of our stay was the WiFi not working properly but the receptionist was very helpful and gave us the code for a faster WiFi as the free WiFi seemed to be a problem in the hotel. We are definitely coming back
My wife booked us in here for my 50th birthday. The staff were absolutely excellent. Food portions were really good. Already planning our next visit quite soon.Rooms: 5/5
Had high expectations for this place. Work a lot around Scotland had a very long day. At arrived at 8 at night to be told that they a 100 pound security deposit as it was for work the booking was done through the office had no means of getting funds. My room someone else hairs on my pillow will defo not be returning and 8 pound for Wi-Fi . It’s 2023 Wi-Fi should be included
Lovely setting for hotel room over looking the beach and water. Breakfast was the best. I am a bit fussy but didn't know until a regular arrived that you can swap the link sausage for square sliced sausage.Rooms: 4/5
Stayed here many times. Lovely hotel & lovely rooms. Food great, big portions. However Massive points off for bar shutting at 9.30pm. Offered to use 'link area' which is basically the corridor. So no option to return to room at 9.30pm on our holiday. This will make us think twice about coming back.Rooms: 5/5
