I recently had an extremely negative experience at The Barista in Cricklade. As someone who frequently works remotely from cafes, I was excited to check out this spot. However, I was sorely disappointed. The staff was extremely rude when I attempted to charge my laptop, accusing me of trying to harm their customers, despite the fact that I was a paying customer myself. It's important to note that the seating area lacked adequate power sockets, making it difficult to work from this location. See attached photos. The only available socket was located in an inconvenient spot and was made even more frustrating by the unhelpful staff. I found their behaviour and policy of not allowing customers to charge their devices to be highly unusual and very unwelcoming. As someone who values good customer service, I will definitely not be returning to The Barista in the future.
Nice little traditional cafe. I love the sausage sandwiches and the coffee is very good. Staff are friendly too. I prefer the front seating area, the rear of the place is dreary and could do with additional, but not necessarily overt lighting. They sell a good vegan cake or two also. Can't be bad!
Lovely little coffee shop for sitting down with a good book . Fantastic service and loved the book exchange scheme they offer.
Our first visit to this cracking coffee/ cafe bistro serving superb food and giving excellent service. Thank you very much!
Coffee was nice, but found the staff to be quite rude, not what we expected, and wouldn’t return based on our experience. We’re from the North West of England, and generally have found people in the Cotswolds to be very welcoming, the area is beautiful, and we visit often. This experience was an exception.
How lovely, the ladies of The Batista Cafe, were to us this morning . We arrived in Cricklade having walked four miles along the Thames path , in the pouring rain!!!! We dripped into the first cafe. It is a gem .Really friendly staff and a delicious cuppa and toasted tea cake. A very warm welcome. Superb menu .many thanks .
normally we have children with us and they love to visit for hot but not very chocolate in the cold weather and milkshake shared between 2 in their own cups Today we went there without small people to plan next term. It worked just as well! *There Is A Reason Barista Is On My Speed Dial* Looking forward to the move next door to bigger premises
Fantastic place. They have worked so hard all through lockdowns supplying takeaways. Lovely selection of snacks and cakes. Their apple pie and ice cream is the best.
I spent 5 years making coffee before I moved into the live events industry, and these guys are making the best coffee I've ever had at an exhibition. Lovely people too. I'd hire them every time
Lovely place for a breakfast or cup of coffee. Lovely staff and friendly place.
