It's an okay place and has a unique vibe. This place could be incredible if the clientele weren't so rough and bullish. The bouncers are also fairly highly strung and I and my friends have been escorted out for no apparent reason on occasion.
'Not Tonight Lads' despite being sober and polite and when asked why 'not tonight lads' I wonder why that is? Could it be the way I look as this is not the first time this had happend for no apparent reason. The bounce scanned the ID of the 4 young white students and when it can yo the two grown black men. The bouncer took the time to get a good look at my I'd for a good 30 seconds proceed to question who I was with 1 other male person . Have some manners and respect and give a reason why you are refusing entry. I wouldn't waste your time with this place the bouncers have some serious ego, respect issues and race issues.
Would give it 0 if I could! Staff are rude and arrogant! Dispite only a total of 4 people being in the bar we were refused service there. If they can't deal with people who have been drinking then don't sell alcohol. Never been to a bar where staff have turned down business and been soo rude. Would not go again...feel sorry for the DJ who was actually playing good music because the rest of the staff suck!
Security are terrible and very rude and the blonde woman working as security is the rudest person I have come across in my entire life she obviously needs a good seeing to to calm her down. Moving onto the bar staff, me and my friends paid £1000 yes a grand for 2 Ferrari drinks packages and a VIP booth which it took them 40 minutes to bring out after payment, 20 minutes between each one and didn't bring out any glasses or mixer until they brought the 2nd set of bottles out 40 min later. Will not be coming back.
What a shocker..... I WOULDN'T BOTHER - Tried to charge us again to get in already had a 'vip' ticket... £16 to get in! ERMMMMM no thanks. - Bouncers where so so rude - beyond arrogant, about as useful as a chocolate teapots , just disgusting the way they dealt with people. - toilets where like swimming pools - Seemed to be full off under 20's I traveled, got a hotel just to see DJ Ruskee asked 4/5 people who worked there when was he on - know one new, two people said he probably is not playing. So we left at 2.00 - absolute waste. Was also looking at the place to book a potential large Hen do as the music is actually decent the only thing that is I would rather have the hen do in a abandoned B&Q car park...in the rain....whilst standing on hot coals.
Would give this place zero if i could! bar staff are very arrogant and rude. Bouncers are also incompetent and aggresive. Was refused a large sale of 15x alcohol for apparentli not sayin please... much better places in town!!
Fancy getting stabbed or ganged up on and beaten to within an inch of your life? Come to the Balloon Bar. Yet another cause of the demise of Bridge Street along with Revolution and NBs. That bad smell? That's the attitude oozing out of the place. Avoid.
bouncers were rude af, place was far to overcrowded that you literally could not move so unable to have a good time. would not recommend going.
The club is to hot and always crowed, up side is it has good music, prices are average cannot complain, bouncers can be a little to strict
Everytime I am in Northampton for a night out I make sure I drop by here. Music is good, and the drinks are cheap on a Friday night
