What I would consider the ‘OG’ Bakewell Tart Shop! Our family is obsessed with Bakewell tarts, so this was a no brainer on our journey back to Cambridgeshire from a stay away in the peaks.nDo try the Bakewell pudding which is extra deep and luscious. We also bought some traditional and iced tarts to take home with us as well as a Bakewell Tart shop mug.nIf we are passing by again, we will definitely go back :
If you are looking for a place to try Bakewell tart, this is it. They have many different options to choose from, also with great topping suggestions. The ice cream added to our tarts was a lovely touch.nHighly recommend a visit!
The Bakewell tart was better than I expected, and the price was fair. One important thing to note is that the pricing is different based on whether you eat-in or takeaway. There is a park close by to eat the takeaway there.
Bake not so wellnnI came here as part of an extended trip, stopping off at places with food named after the place. The Bakewell pudding was what started this expedition in the first place, being a childhood favourite, but unfortunately this tart shop fell quite short even with a good helping of nostalgia.nncoffee, 4/10, watery and tasteless, real dishwater coffee, disappointing since they have an actual coffee machinennbakewell pudding, 5/10, the actual pudding was alright, although a bit cakeier than some of the other puddings I've tried, which are more like a freestanding almond custard. As a dish it was also let down by cheap instant custard.
