Went today expecting great food. Bacon and tomato roll had tin tomatoes in so bread soggy within seconds. Bacon very low quality. Threw most of it away. Although bread baked on premises, it is steam baked so no better than supermarket bread but costs 50p more. Only good thing was the cake. Will not be returning!!

They are very rude, unpleasant service. I ordered a birthday cake for my son years 4 years ago. They have never called me the cake was ready to I could not collect it. I said give them another chance and went there again. The staff is so rude and unhelpful. Never go there again!

Had the best Viennese whirl I have ever tasted here. Melt in the mouth biscuit and filling absolutely delicious  in fact all the food looks great ! Will def be sampling more here in the future. Can’t believe I’ve only just discovered this lovely bakery      Update: There is a little board on the back wall with post it notes for any one who is having a bad day to get a free drink and cake paid for by kindly customers !  Very warm-hearted owners

Great bakery. Best ham salad cobs and great quality flapjacks and cakes. Prices have gone up abit lately but then again so has most things.  Shame it takes a while to get served and feel like 2 people serving at peak times would help. Thanks. Jon

I have been going here for 40+ years and seen some changes over time as it's got better with the selection of products. Love the ploughman's rolls and a great selection of cakes and hot food, prices have escalated but that's everywhere now. Hope it stays around for years to come.

I have been using this bakery for many years now and there cakes and bread far surpasses anything from the supermarket. However this review is for their celebration cakes. I have never been disappointed they are excellent they have catered for each request for decoration faultlessly. In short I cannot fault them. Thank you Sawley bakery you made my daughters day

Such brilliant service and an amazing cake. I needed a iced fruit cake at very short notice and I called The Bakery to see if they could l help me.  I called on Monday 25th June, spoke to a lovely lady who assured me that they would be able to have a large 70 servings fruit cake, fully iced and decorated and ready for me to collect on Thursday 28th June.  And they completely nailed it.  The cake was stunning to look at and absolutely delicious. So many people kept telling me how lovely it was....and then I tried it.....and it was bloody fantastic.  So good, moist and full of fruit.  Just perfect.  I had tried all the large shops, none could help me at such short notice, but these guys proper stepped up.  What a find. Proof is definitely in the fruit cake. Shop local.

I've been visiting here for my lunch for the last few weeks and have to say I am impressed. The sandwiches and rolls are freshly prepared when ordered, and they have a good range. They are also very generously filled. And the cakes - simply delicious. I especially like the salted caramel tart.

Love the friendly staff. All those lovely goodies are just so tempting.

Everything about this Bakery is Great. Memories when i was a child, the ice buns my mum would get me.
