After hearing so much about The Bakehouse , I had finally popped in to try out the food . On a Tuesday morning and it was absolutely packed , which is a great sign ! The atmosphere is very home-like , peaceful and chill .. the staff are excellent , attentive and very polite and the interior decor was great . I had ordered a bagel and a coffee and I must say it was very delicious, the presentation was great and the price was fair . It has to be one of the best , if not the best , spots in Runcorn to eat and I highly recommend to anyone ! Will be back very soon
Wow Wow Wow quite possibly the best burger iv ever had and iv ate quite a few. If I had one criticism I'd say it was Underpriced, iv paid double and had half the quality, from what I could see of what other eating it all looked amazing. Hidden Gem take the time to find this place and enjoy
I'd seen this place advertised on Facebook and while I was off work and the weather was glorious we decided to try it out. We parked around the corner from Runcorn Hill as the road outside the restaurant was closed due to a crumbling wall. Despite being advised of a 45 minute wait for food we took an ice cold pint of shandy in the garden at the rear. However due to the hot weather the friendly staff found us a table indoors. Unfortunately they had sold out of the salmon for the Eggs Benedict so I chose to have mine with bacon. The other half chose a Turkish flatbread. Sure enough the food arrived as promised due to regular updates from the staff. Mine was very well presented, hot and delicious with poached eggs that were still runny the way I like them, crispy bacon and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and seeds which added a nice crunch. The other half"s Turkish flatbread came with two lamb koftas that were delicious and fragrant with spices, large flatbread, a full salad including onion, lettuce, diced tomatoes, pomegranate seeds and a yoghurt and mint dressing. In hindsight we probably could have just ordered the flatbread between us it was that large! We were that full there was no room for dessert which looked amazing and is all made on site. They also offer cocktails and a tapas menu on a Friday and Saturday night and a roast dinner on Sundays. We will certainly be returning to sample these delights but we will be booking in advance
Cozy, charming, and good value. I got the Brunch Board, which came with fresh orange for £10. It was so tasty and a good value. The space itself is charming with cute decor and our server was fab. I also got a latte, which was well made. I'll definitely be back.
The food itself was very nice, however our table of four waited for around 45 minutes for the first 2 meals to arrive. It then took asking two different staff members for the cutlery to come. Finally the last 2 meals arrived around 15 minutes after the first 2 came, by which time the first 2 had nearly finished. I appreciate anywhere can have busy days but you should be told when you walk in if there will be a long wait. However, the main reason for leaving a negative review, which I usually wouldn’t, is that when one of our party mentioned it to the front of house staff on our way out, they didn’t seem bothered in the slightest.
Food and staff were lovely. It was also nice to get a decent soft drink, which makes a big difference too.Food: 5/5
Food was absolutely delicious, my daughter had a cough so the owner brought her a glass of water without me asking. Really cosy and friendly. Kids meals are great, lots of healthy bits.Food: 5/5
Food ok. spoilt by member of staff asking one of our party to leave as they were a bit loud. Unfortunately this was a deaf person who was talking louder because of background noise who ended up upset and crying. I do think the staff need to be aware of disabilities and not just jump to conclusions.
Fantastic spot for breakfast and brunch but with good large and small plates for lunch as well. Quaint old post office building with inside and a choice of open or covered outside seating. Sat in 'the love shack' - lovely decorated shack for quieter eating! Full English and vegetarian breakfasts are delicious and non-greasy. Good choice of gins available.
Staff very helpful, and the food was good value and filling. The only thing that let it down was the loud music playing. We asked twice for it to be turned down, as did another couple, but it still kept coming back loud. Not good when you're trying to have a conversation. Nice background music isn't a problem, but not the type and volume that was being played. Otherwise, food and drink lovely.
