Terrible food. asked them to make my Orange chicken extra crispy. it was more soggy than any Orange chicken I've ever had. ill have to remember the Chinese food spot on Hawaii is not good. note to self.
Ordered the combination lo mein which is supposed to have chicken, pork, and shrimp. My bland lo mein had zero shrimp in it and the hot and sour soup was a tofu tasteless mess.
My Chicken and Cheese sub was horrible. Salty entirely to much mayonnaise the sandwich was warm, & the cheese wasn't melted. I ordered a ice tea after I asked if they had homemade tea I received instant tea & lemonade mixed. I was told that was all they sell. The service was not good. I Will NOT GO THERE AGAIN!!!
Two words.. Gross, and Dirty... Now I understand given the area it is not to expect the nicest place on Earth. But it could at least be clean. Never have I seen any of them wash there hands while I walk by on the way to metro and grab lunch from Subway right next to it, or pick up my 6 pack on the way home. And I make it a point to look because I want it to be good because it's 3 blocks from my house. But no it's just dirty. I've ordered food 3 times thinking ok well maybe they do beef better than chicken. Nope. It's all gross.
BEWARE OF THE DELIVERY DRIVER. Zero stars. The delivery driver refuses to actually deliver the food, he expects you to come out to his car. If he has to come to you, he screams, curses and practically throws your order at you. I have tried to order food from here twice to be delivered to my job where I cannot leave to come outside unless on a break, and have experienced the same thing. I thought maybe he was having a bad day at first, but after today I realized this is just how they do business. The food isn't that great, but their customer service is non existent.
First of all I ordered some food from them during lunch time and understand it was going to take a little longer cause they were busy but I called just to check on it, the lady answered was very rude and hung up in my face , now I let that slide but when the delivery guy came my elderly grandmother answered and payed but card was declined but it was an honest mistake. The delivery guy cursed at her and and rushing her and said he gotta go and was going to leave with her food she had to rush upstairs to pay him. Now I called to speak to the owner, but the same lady answered and I told her what happened but made an excuse for him because it was busy that’s why he act like that. She start raising her voice at me and hung up. Now I’m a really nice person but I was fed up. I reported them as told the people exactly what happened, I hope people read this so they know how awful their customer service is.
The most simple Chinese dish chicken fried rice seems like it's not real chicken. The meat is cut in really tiny odd pieces, it's rubbery and tastes nothing like chicken. The rice was bright yellow and had zero flavor. The general tso is mostly breading, and the sauce is too liquid. Finally the meal is more pricey than other nearby places in Brookland. In the future I will order from somewhere else.
If you go, make sure it's a Thu, Fri, or Sat in order to get the beef bulgogi with house made napa cabbage kimchi. They don't have it the rest if the week. Baked chicken meat was not fresh; mac and cheese was overcooked soggy/mushy macaroni. Fried rice bland, but not bad. Side of cooked cabbage was good, though.
