Perfect experience in a cosy area with a nice view, the service was great and cordial, i even had a gift from the bakery, a lovely focaccia pizza with lovely cheese on top offered by the manager for me try their new specials!nStrongly recommend!
A friend and I came here for lunch.nI cannot rave enough about how delicious the food was! The chef was lovely and the waiter serving at reception was fantastic they were both short staffed and had a steady queue of customers over the hour and a bit we were there. We can’t wait to return!
I phoned to ask if they were dog friendly and if they had any GF products. I was told that they did, and a few cakes were reeled off. I queried that the doughnuts were as that was a first to me! My daughter who has the allergy wandered round. She ordered at the counter and asked again to be sure. The manager advised her of the GF cakes. She chose a doughnut and was looking forward it having not had ine for many years. When we left I went to get her a couple to take home with her, I asked for 2 of their GF doughnuts and was told by another member of staff that they did not do any GF products. She went to get the manager who came and apologised and said she had got mixed up with vegan. I asked if she understood allergies and how dangerous it is for some people. My daughter was very unwell all day and night and some of the following day. Lucky for us, not a deadly allergy, as is the case for many. I have spoken to their HO and had a call back and email. Also, verbal apologises and advised there was extra staff training. I asked for a refund and I am still waiting for that! I also think there should have been a goodwill gesture of apology to my daughter. We as a family will not visit again, but be warned if you have any allergys at all.
Asked for a bacon roll...no longer sell white crusty rolls so has to be a briosh roll...so opted for a bacon sandwich on granary bread instead....it came up on a sourdough seeded loaf...bread was awful and hard and the bacon was cold. You also have to ask for your coffee extra hot if you want hot coffee.
Sadly the Artisan has gone downhill recently. Not very clean, toilets filthy, reduced menu, cold burgers. Some, not all of the staff could do with some serious training. Was lovely but not anymore. I wont be going back
