I want to start by saying I rarely leave bad reviews but I don't want other people have the same experience I did.nnI visited the salon for the first time yesterday after reading good reviews online.nnI entered the salon, and what stroke me straight away was a very strong smell of chemicals that made my eyes water. No window or door open to help this. My sister has a salon herself in Italy and the place never smells that bad.nnI was sat immediately on a chair covered in other people's hair that I cleaned myself. The place was dirty, hair and splashes everywhere. Apparently one of their stylists called in sick the same day, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt that these are not their usual standards of cleanliness. However, their work carts were dirty and the wheels were wrapped in people's hair that has clearly been there a while.nnOnce sat down, I was told they were running 10 minutes behind, when my appointment started 35 minutes late. I completely understand they were a person down and running late, but they could have given me a realistic time frame and I could have come back later with no issue.nnThe girl that followed me was pleasant.nnShe started my roots dye, and she made a mess of my face. Splashing the dye everywhere. She saw it and offered to get the colour removal liquid.n30 minutes late I had to remind her of this but the colour had already developed so my face is still stained today.nnAdditionally, I could clearly see that she had missed spots in her colour application.nIndeed today I have some grey hair still showing. I didn't mention anything on the day before I hate scenes, plus I am pregnant and I don't want to deal with extra stress.nnA nice touch was they offered me a drink on arrival so I asked for some water but unfortunately the water glass brought  to me had someone else lipstick on it.nnConclusion to this review - I won't be back, which is a shame because the salon is located around the corner from my house and the prices are reasonable.

Came here to have my hair cut after I'd just given birth. The lady who did my haircut was really nice and friendly and it was just a great experience

I've been going to Michelle for many years and I will never stop. She's an incredible stylist and has built an incredible salon. Becca has styled my hair for events and she deserves so much credit. The girls are all lovely, friendly and very welcoming. Definitely recommend.

I live in Glasgow, and have been travelling to this salon for years, I wouldn't go anywhere else! Michelle and her team are so talented, and make my hair look incredible! Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, and I'm always amazed at how good my hair looks when I leave! The salon is magic! Highly recommend!

The Arch Hair and Beauty is the best salon I have ever been to. I have been getting my hair and eyelashes done here for many years and choose to drive an hour to the salon from my house because I genuinely would never get my hair done anywhere else. The service is outstanding, staff are so friendly and welcoming and I always leave feeling amazing. Highly recommended!
