We are a large independent pet shop in the Maltby area of Rotherham. We stock a large variety of pet foods and livestock, including exotic species.

We are experts in animal care and can offer advice in nutrition, care of animals and stock a huge variety of pet products.

"We are a large independent pet store selling small animals, birds, reptiles and exotics. We bred our own animals where possible and we are a very ethical pet store. We also offer onsite animal encounters and party room, pet boarding, onsite pet photography, dog grooming and travelling zoo. We stock a variety of dog food, including Royal Canin, Carnilove, James Wellbeloved.We often have animals handling events in store and details can be found on our facebook page.We breed sugar gliders, virginia opossums, durasis, chinchillas, mini lops, crested geckos, african pygmy hedgehogs, skinny pigs. We also use local breeders to stock other livestock, such as hamsters, corn snakes, gerbils, chameleons, inverts and much more."

Friendly shop where you can hold the animals unlike chain stores. Very accommodating and helpful. There was a party on while we were there which seems like a brilliant idea.  We went in to look at rats for the kids who quickly turned their attention to one of the Rabbits. It was very tame due to all the handling it had in the shop. He has settled in well at ours and gets on brilliantly with the dogs and cats.  The shop is a little run down with age a slightly hectic. that could have been due to the party but I would still recommend a visit. We will be back in the future.

Very friendly and welcoming. We got shown the petting area and managed to hold Basil the Skunk! I’ve also had my sugar gliders here multiple times to be boarded whilst on holiday. The store I believe is soon to be taken over by new management

Had a wonderful morning here yesterday with my children and nephews.  See had time handling each animal, all the children's questions were answered with great patience, great selection of animals... Very reasonably priced for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend

do not recommend. i have bought snacks £4 for my rabbit yesterday 11.02.2020 but noticed at home the due date was  - 10.2019... i live in sheffield so wouldn't go back there for refund. it was so nice pet shop years ago but not now. there is no pets there and lack of products as welĺ. shame

Good local pet store selling all pet foods and treatments as well as pets including exotic types. They had a large tropical and marine section but this looks like it is being improved. So more information will be added when the work is complete.

Love it here. Always great service. They sell most thing for animals including reptiles. And will order in if they haven't got what you need.

Not what I expected as I didn't know it had changed ownership yet again...so now they don't sell fish anymore. But the new lady at the till was very polite and helpful

I drove all the way from Bromley in Kent, just to visit this pet store. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The animals all look happy and  very well looked after. They have a fantastic range of different exotic's, of all different shapes and sizes, and the staff were full of lots of knowledge about each and every one! It took us from 6:45am, until 11pm to complete our journey here, but it was definitely worth the trip! I actually own a rescue & rehoming center myself, so Im always looking out for the welfare of all animals, but I can safely say, I have absolutely no concerns or complaints regarding the care of any of their animals at the shop. This is a very friendly pet store all the animal are well looked after and cared for.We as a family have bought quite a few animals from here the staff cannot be anymore helpful than they are you can ask them any question and they are happy to spend the time to explain everything you need to know about any of the animals they have. We love the Animal Ark .
