Story

Back in 1984, when double denim was first 'on trend', brothers David and Charles Barnett opened up the first American Carwash Company branch. It was in the railway arches of Kings Cross (where the Euro Star lines are now). One of the first 'drive-through' hand washes in the UK with some pretty famous names coming through the doors, Jeremy Clarkson was a regular to the branch with his Ford Escort Cosworth!

Hand washing cars in a 'drive-through' format quickly took off and today's clients can experience The American Carwash Company across five central London sites. Up to half a million cars are cleaned by The American Carwash team members each year.

Now there are many different products you can clean your car with...... over the years we've tested pretty much all of the products on the market but the best (in our eyes) is the Autoglym range. Which is why your car can experience these top of the range products in all of the branches. Just like picking the right shampoo for your hair, the team membersin the American Carwash branches will pick the right products for your car when it goes through the wash.

Fleet owners will be pleased to hear that cars will be cleaned and on their way within 15minutes and that's our promise... how do we do it? We ensure that many hands make light work, each team member has a job and specific area of the car to asses and clean. Just like a manufacturing production line, the drive-through process in each branch has been optimised to get you a clean car in the fastest time possible.
