This is a rather excellent and comfortable venue. I have attended both theatrical and musical concerts at The Alexander and enjoyed them immensely.  There's a good licensed bar serving drinks and snacks in a bistro atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

It was for a wedding reception. We got there and found a red carpet was placed to lead you into the building. The reception area was large and bright. You then went into another large area where there was a small quiet room to the left. A nice, large cloakroom is provided. A well staffed bar, (but not well stocked) is in the corner. The main room was large and the stage was adequate for the 5 piece band. Staff were onhand and very helpful.

The Alexander Centre is a great venue for craft fairs, music of every kind, with friendly and helpful staff and a welcoming atmosphere.  Lovely space for a wedding or a special party, too.

We used the Gatefield Hall for an afternoon function. It is a nice space, people could not have been friendlier and even though we went over on time whilst clearing, no-one hassled us or asked us to leave. I can thoroughly recommend as a venue.
