Warm friendly staff, food was absolutely delicious, we had Sunday roast. Reasonably priced would definitely recommend.
Good for Sunday roast. Beef excellent, chicken not quite so good. Chef made special order for my fussy son. Gravy was nice if a little unusual. Rioja was good as was the sticky toffee pudding
Lovely atmosphere, good beer. Very dog friendly. Has A canine menu for your best friend served with a bowl of water. Locals great, full of information about the local area. Great!
Fabulous food, unique surroundings, friendly & helpful staff, becoming a 'local' pub-from Shaftesbury!!
We were lucky to be able to reserve a table for dinner this Saturday evening, what a great pub, friendly, dog friendly, warm and inviting. We had the baked camembert cheese to share, what a scrumptious starter. Followed by fish and chips, and Steak Kidney pie for me. Both meals were delicious, the fish was fresh and thick with crispy batter. The steak/kidney was big chunks of meat served with a boater of tasty gravy. The server lady was happy, helpful and not overpowering. She did a great job making sure didn't have to ask twice for anything. So happy to tip the staff, we will return soon...pity we couldn't get a table for Fathers Day Lunch, but thats a credit to the staff; its been booked solid for 2 weeks. Great food, lovely beers, great staff and a brilliant price, wots not to like?...‍‍
A wonderful Christmas ‘do’ here last night! Friendly staff, a delicious buffet thank you! and beautifully decorated surroundings.. Wishing all the staff a happy festive season.
Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch today. It was refreshing to have proper home roasted potatoes, quite yummy as were the parsnips. Puddings excellent, so will be back. Staff friendly and attentive. Thank you..
Went there to celebrate something had a fantastic beef bourginion really nice. Compliments to the chef.
Lovely food and friendly and helpful staff. Dropped my chips on the floor as soon as they arrived at the table, the waitress went to get me some more straight away. I really enjoy coming to this pub.
We ate here to celebrate our sons exam results. It was our second visit, the first one having been good. I ordered the Albion Burger which looked good when it came out. After I started eating it I noticed it was practically raw in the middle so told the waitress and sent it back. These things happen so I just waited for a replacement. About 5 minutes later the waitress brought the burger back out and I was literally shocked to be told that the chef had put the burger back in the fryer for a few minutes. I was given the burger back with the same cheese, bacon and roll but this time it was dripping in fat. I was so shocked, firstly that the chef put a burger that had been in my mouth back in the fryer with other peoples meals but also that I wasn’t given a fresh burger. What I would say is that the waitress dealing with us was lovely, she did everything she could to resolve it and removed the cost from the bill. So for that reason I will be leaving one star. I am not won to complain but I really wasn't happy.
