A pub in a really unique location, definitely worth a visit. The interior of the pub was very modern and clean, the food was great - we had pizza each, which we would definitely recommend. There is also an outdoor bar serving drinks and snacks, perfect for watching the planes land. The drinks were reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again, even if we weren't going to Manchester airport, as the pub and unique view was an entertaining way to spend the morning. Plenty of parking available at 11am when we arrived, we left around 1pm and the car park had filled up considerably. Parking isn't free but it is a fair price, we paid £3.50 for 2 hours.
We love it here and visit a couple of times a month with our aviation mad 3 year old. Parking fees are reasonable, but beware, make sure you get there at opening times if you plan to visit at the weekend, as the car park gets full quickly. The pub itself is tastefully decorated, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is tasty and reasonably priced. The viewing garden has a park for littles, a covered "hanger" and outdoor bar which also serves hot drinks, handy when the weather isn't the best. Plenty of picnic tables and planes flying right overhead. The garden can get quite muddy, so bear that in mind when bringing kids ect, puddle suits and wellies if it's been raining recently.
We took residents from the nursing home and all enjoyed the trip out and we got a table by the screen so we could watch the landings without getting windswept. The food was lovely and staff very helpful a great success.Food: 5/5
Staff were absolutely amazing and so helpful!! Tasty food which were really big portions great value for money. Kids could have played for hours on the play area and watching the planes go past. Parking: Very busy car park, had very helpful parking attendants that made it the experience a lot easier. They even provided a leaflet with alternative parking arrangements if we planned to visit in the future. Paid parking for up to 6 hours.
Big menu of food. Smelled delicious. I ordered the pulled beef subway. It was very disappointing. It was bland. My friend described it as looked like dog food. Gutted. Chips were good. She ordered the peppercorn sauce burger, the burger was overcooked and a bit tough. The waitress was a bit miserable. And it seemed a bit of an inconvenience for her when we had to ask about allergies. Loved the atmosphere and place though. Will return but probably not eat. Dietary restrictions: Allergy to egg so couldn’t eat any desserts. Plenty food options though
Beautiful food and great view of the runway to watch the planes come and go. Nice little play area beer garden and beer garden shelter outside too. Service was OK. Don't really like that as patrons we still have to pay for parking Food: 5/5
This is a great place to watch the planes land and take off. We decided that, rather than struggle to get a taxi from outside the terminal, we would walk up to the main road and get an Uber from there. But when we realised we were passing the pub we decided to stop for a drink and watch the planes for a bit. We’ve been before with others too. Lots of outdoor seating and a small play area for kids. Inside is very spacious too.
A really nice idea and I loved watching the planes, but the food isn't anything to write home about. You may need to reserve a table as it gets busy on weekdays.Food: 4/5
