I go to the Academy all the time and am very satisfied with the way they do my hair, the girls are nice, chatty and friendly and the prices are very good, Anyone who complains, should remember that these girls are in training and some of them are just entering their first experience of the workplace and I find if you talk to them and be friendly with them they will be friendly back, Give the trainees a chance and if you were to visit any of the other salons in town, prices would be a lot higher , I had my hair coloured and cut today and was as always happy with the result

They don't wash brushes between customers when doing their make up, I got my formal make up done there and ended up with a huge cyst on my chin later that evening because of that which left a scar, also the first thing my friend and I did upon coming back home was reapply the make up ourselves because it was that bad

i had my hair highlighted and the young girl was excellent free file and polish while i had my colour on brilliant service

I go because its cheap. End of story. One would normally expect someone working in the health and beauty industry to be chatty and people focused. I consistently find that the trainees appear to struggle with even basic conversation and answer yes or no in response to my talking to them. I had my first and only pedicure a while ago. The trainee seemed clueless. She actually put the foot spa up on the bed and I was expected to lie on the bed and contort my feet into this. I was wearing a skirt so it was hard to maintain my dignity with my knees bent into a foot spa. The trainee could fully see up my skirt as I did my best to protect my modesty. I left with the condition of my feet not that much different to when I had come in as there did not seem to be a functioning foot file in the entire place.
