Visited the tearoom for an afternoon tea after visiting Melrose Abbey. There is free parking right outside and is easily accessible. The afternoon tea was lovely, the scones are massive! You only get egg mayo and ham sandwiches as part of the afternoon tea, however I am sure they would accommodate for vegetarians. For £12 for 2 it was extremely good value for money.
Arrived for a 10am opening time at the cafe. On ordering breakfast, was informed that this would be 20 minutes as everything is cooked fresh. 40 minutes later was still waiting and eventually came out. I also ordered drinks which took 55 minutes from ordering. Customer service was appalling. No apology or interaction with customers. I will certainly not be returning.
Very helpful staff and easy to park. Could brose around for agess. Cafe looked nice but we didn't stay for a drink but we will definitely stay next time.
Called in to pass half an hour .Went upstairs to tearoom. Coffee was good , staff very pleasant . Old fashioned in style , clientele senior citizens.
Nice little shop tucked away in Melrose with a lovely coffee shop upstairs. Virtually the only place open in Melrose on New Year's Day if you want to blow the cobwebs away.
Lovely cafe with very friendly obliging staff& good coffee & cakes. Stock is same as Edinburgh Woollen Mill.

Tea for 2 at 12, squirt cream and slightly stale bread!!! Won't be visiting again!!
