Not as nice as we remember Lovely, big portions but not as nice as we have had them couple of years ago when we've been there for the first time. Definitely the prep machines needs a good clean specially as they are fronting the guests , very oily and greasy. Good prices, only 1.95/orange juice or 4.95 I think for a huge portion of American pancakes which by the way I would have them as a sharer as comes as a 3 large and thick pancakes with a choice of ice-cream, whipped cream or toffee/Marple syrop. Free parking in front.
After seeing bad reviews online, I still wanted this place to be good. We came from Stafford to try it . It wasn't great. I had a cheeseburger with fried onions and fries, a little bit of lettuce, 2 tomato slices and two tiny gherkin slices. The burger was pretty good actually and the fries were a bit too crispy, but okay and lots of them. My wife ordered the chicken fingers, but when they came they were southern fries chicken fingers, which is a whole other ball game. My wife couldn't eat them and the waiter took them off the bill immediately, but she had nothing else to eat apart from a few of my fries. I had the butterscotch shake - a bit thick and tasteless, not really butterscotch. My wife had the cream soda float - £1.50 to make it a float and they stuffed LOADS of ice cream on top of the glass, so she couldn't even drink it! She had to take off all the ice cream onto another plate. Not ideal. Good value for the amount of ice cream, I suppose. If you wanted a lot of ice cream. Normally an ice cream float is a soda of your choice with one scoop of ice cream on top, not about 5 scoops! I asked for water, which never came and there was no mayonnaise in the bottle. Just a little bit more hassle that shouldn't have happened. I know these are first world problems! I really, really wanted this place to be good. It could be. With a bit of tlc and some insight, it could be fantastic. Also the menu was very limited - burgers or hot dogs. And Southern fried chicken fingers! Disappointed but still have given it 2 stars, because the staff were nice.
Great place for burgers and chips. Took six 9/10 year old boys who tucked in to some double patty burgers. The Kids portions are generous if you're with children who like a plain burger, so there's no need to splash out on adult portion. But if you like different toppings you are sure to be happy with the selection here. My little 5 year old found the chicken strips a bit "spicy" as they had a crispy coating. But all-in-all we all enjoyed our food.
One of my favourite restuarants. A lengthy drive for me, but I've now been a few times for both dinners and breakfasts with my wife and also took the family group of 8 last weekend for breakfast. Decent food diner style, but good diner style lovely staff, great atmosphere.
What an amazing place to visit , fantastic layout with very helpful and friendly staff . The food was on a new level , if your into your burgers this is the place ! They lots of special boards or choice from a wide selection . The milkshakes are unbelievable " make sure your hungry " will definitely go back
Great time spent here for breakfast! Loved the atmosphere, free refills on tea and coffee which come included in the brekky! And staff were lovely! Food comes on big portions so the price is worth it!
This place is definitely something different!! Lovely food and service! Topped off with a massive pudding! Next time I’ll try the breakfast! Definitely book in you plan on going!
Been here over the years but this time was the best.. Food was amazing, burger was absolutely delicious and way better than TGIs, 5 guys, Gourmet burger! New chef apparently... Also they've put up more 50s memorabilia giving it even more of an authentic feel! Kids loved it too as puddings and milkshakes are awesome Can't wait to go back
I’m not really sure how to review this as the people were nice but the food was just terrible. We went due to the reviews and left shocked after spending £50 on really poor food. We also waited 40 minutes for two kids milkshakes and the food came after that. I don’t write bad reviews normally but I feel I have to in this case. So shocked and gutted we spent that amount on such poor food. The staff were nice people so it’s not an easy review to write. I took some pretty cool pictures due to the nature of the venue but as I went here after the reviews I had seen I expected at the very least, decent food. Such a shame. That’s my and our family review. Sorry guys.
Excellent food and brilliant service however if your going to try the challenge make sure you like burgers as there’s two and a half pounds of pure meat and don’t forget the 40 odd pieces of bacon! Overall great time! Highly recommend!
