18/7/23 First ever visit to Waterside Park for a preseason friendly. Adult £5 Concessions £3 Kids FREE. No programme. Thatcham Town 2-2 Slough Town. A nice non league ground that’s easy to get to from my home in Langley. The ground has a big car park so no parking issues. The volunteers on the turnstile and in the ground were all very welcoming and friendly. There is one main stand which offers covered seating. The only other cover is a very smell terraced stand on the opposite side. Everywhere else is open to the elements. I did think that the path on the far side was incredibly rough/uneven and would be hard to navigate if you were in a wheelchair. Great bar and clubhouse. Would highly recommend a visit if you’ve never been.

The Waterside Park is barely a five minute walk from Thatcham train station, and spectators enter via a brick turnstile hut in one corner. Along this length is the clubhouse building, tea bar hatch, and an Atcost all-seater stand. It’s not the best place to watch the action from, as it is set some way back from the pitch and has floodlight pylons in  the way of one’s vision. A small modern metallic stand covers some steps of standing is positioned between the corner flag closest to the entrance and the goal. Hard standing is available around the rest of the ground, but along the length opposite the main stand, the playing area is a long way from the standing area. The ground has a nice leafy, countryside background and feel to it, pleasant on a warm summer's day like today. Programmes are available on the day.
Was there for my granddaughter's football cup final. Had a great time. Nice venue. Great parking.
I had my daughters baby shower in there. Room was perfect for the amount of space. Will definitely book there for the christening. Friendly and offered to help set up etc.
