A wonderful local resource. I have seen a number of the productions here and have never been disappointed. The local council is trying to close this resource, theatre, archive, museum, library. We should support these remarkable venues.
watched 2 of my daughters in a dance show the staff was amazing and over all very good show place was clean theatre was abit hot but was really really good and the small area for refreshments wasnt very much varity but was resonably priced.
It is many years since I have visited this theatre... primarily because I'm fortunate to have a good local theatre on my own doorstep.nThe theatre is showing signs of age.It is clean and appears well maintained but does need some TLC. I appreciate the theatre owners local council are experiencing financial difficulties and in some respects are to be applauded for keeping this facility open. When I used to work in Grays this theatre was considered a jewel...but sadly now tarnished.nThe show I was watched was of a high standard and the staff with whom I interacted polite and helpful.nIf theatre remains open, suggest as a minimum, that funds be spent on seating ... bringing this to a more modern standard. Improved seating in the bar area is required not foldaway chairs and better stocking would be welcomed.nAbove said...if you haven't been before please support this theatre...it deserves more help
Went to see the pantomime Jack and the Bean stalk.nGreat production, the cast done so well.nGreat twist to the story, which made it different. The kids loved it.
Good theatre, the staff were friendly and helpful, was there to watch beauty and the beast excellent pantomime the whole family loved it. The theatre itself was a good size, good location, with library and exhibition down stair which the local can go and visit. I just hope they don't knock it down and turn it to a flats.
