Very disappointed how cheap they have become. No manuals on the boxes anymore. The QR codes don't point to the manuals and if there are any, you have to make an account and sign in to see. I didn't bother doing that, I thought the best user of my time was to write this review
Concept of a wireless system great! Don't buy nothing but problems from the day one installed, batteries don't last 12 months it'snbeen a nightmare. Installer fed up of it,me too. Texecom don't speak to the end user only dedicated installers. My opinion after this chose someone else.
I have used their systems for years but I have to say very disappointed with the low quality of the hardware. Any average Chinese manufacturer would have done better. The sensors are failing after barely 1 year use. The Cloud system and app do work well but not enough to compensate for hte poor hardware performance.
It is not worth the money or your time.nnFitted in 2019 then during lockdown started getting faults on tamper sensors. Arranged an installer to attend who fixed it by changing batteries, 3 months later same issue and it’s been that way on and off for 3 years. Installer advised we needed to do a software upgrade and charged for this but that only made things worse affecting most of the tampers.nAlarms go off at all hours even when not armed and the only fix is to disable those tamper sensors that I’ve paid good money for and want to be active. Texecom came out last year and within 3 weeks 2 more tamper faults, after this years service we’ve had 3 more and 2 more last night. Apparently this has been raised with Texecom nearly 2 months ago and nothing.nnInstaller told me the original ones were great but he has constant issues with these since 2020, going back and forth.nnI’ve paid for services, battery changes, new sensors, tampers and call out charges and I’m done. The whole system removed today.nnTotally unreliable - no accountability or responsibility - dreadful service with their installers and in turn customers. Save yourself the headache and use another system.
I myself, a professional installer and owner of a security company and being SSAIB Certificated have been using Texecom for almost 10 years. We have hundreds of systems fitted since we started out. We used Texecom day in and day out on all of our installs. I would say the last few years product reliability has gone significantly down. They had a problem with the SC-W and took over 1 year to fix the problem. We had a lot of call outs and faults and customers that were having problems with a newly fitted system because of a fault at Texecom. I haven’t got time to explain everything here as I could go on and on, but I really feel like Texecom doesn’t care about the installer anymore they seemed more concerned about their new policy’s than anything. I had a phone call of my account manager and they seemed more concerned about how much I was spending each month fitting Texecom gear instead of fixing my issues and giving me a good service. All I can say is unfortunately the Texecom Brand has gone downhill. I would strictly avoid. I was very attached to the products as I was using them since starting up my business. But for me it was time to let go as it was affecting our company reputation and causing us to loose a lot of money.On another note, it’s so nice to deal with other companies who actually genuinely care when you have a fault or problem and are there to help. Shame on you Texecom don’t bother replying back to me say contact your account manager or try to help now it’s too late.
