My kids love swimming here. The slide no longer works though. Pool could of been a bit warmer I thought but lovely and clean and staff nice. Well worth a visit!
Occasionally I will eat or drink something which then blocks my airway so I can’t breath or speak. To remedy this I have to drink straight away which then makes me cough getting air in. This is a result of scarring from cancer treatment.nToday it happened to me in the pool and I cannot thank the quick action of the pool side staff getting me a instant drink and staying with me until I was breathing normally again.if they had not have handed me that drink as fast as they did then I would have been in serious trouble. Drinking the pool water did not help. A massive thank you to them for getting me breathing again.
Family of 8, 6 adults 2 under 5's. Price good for entry, facilities fairly good however no showers to use after swim. Downsides of visit, the pool area and water was far to cold. We didn't last longer than half hour in water just couldn't keep warm enough!! Definitely needs heating turned up and water temp increased..
I only really have experience of the swimming pool, the soft play and the cafe to add in this review - I haven't used the other facilities at TLC. The swimming pool itself has remained largely the same since I first went with my mum in the 1980s, but that's no bad thing as the pool has a great setup. The major changes in that time include the addition of a flume in the early 2000s, and the removal of TLC's iconic palm tree in the area between the kid's pool and the main pool.nnThe soft play is situated in what used to be squash courts, and it's a great play area for the wee ones. It can be a bit hectic if it's busy, but that largely depends on the particular kids who are there - no-one likes the over boisterous kids at a soft play, do they?nnThe cafe serves a decent selection of quick meals and service is usually pretty quick, with prices being reasonable.nnAll the staff I've encountered have been helpful, so no complaints there either.nnPlenty of parking although reduced slightly currently due to works along Waverley Walk.
...first time visit to enquire re keep fit classes.noffered a range of classes plus accepted their invitation of a tour of the facilities.shown swimming pool,spin gym static cycles and fully equipped gymnasium.nas a result of the welcoming atmosphere plan to see their personal trainer,steph.£30 per hour.nwould recommend you take a break from your sofa/chair and visit the Teviotdale Leisure Centre....I did!!
