Truly vile store and an awful shopping experience. The place is cluttered, dirty, badly stocked, and somehow still overpriced. Staff frequently stand around gossiping while customers are left waiting.nnManagement is the real issue. Incompetent, bullying, and openly favouring their friends while hardworking staff are pushed out. I understand one particularly lazy and aggressive night manager has finally been moved on, which is at least some small progress.nnThe food itself has gone downhill too. Products are increasingly bland — anything that actually made them taste good has clearly been stripped out — yet prices keep rising. It’s grubby stealth shrinkflation and perfectly sums up Tesco’s attitude to its customers.nnAnd as for self-scan: if you’re going to make customers do the work to cut staffing costs, inflate already obscene profits, and then shovel the money offshore to avoid paying tax, the least you can do is trust them. Having a “random” check every single time is insulting. Either trust customers to self-scan or don’t. This halfway approach is greedy, grubby, and dishonest.nnThis store is Tesco in microcosm: cynical, customer-hostile, and trading long-term trust for short-term profit. Avoid.
Today at Midsomer Norton Tesco I was so pleased with staff who were helpful and kind. At the check out after putting all the shopping on conveyor belt realised I had forgotten my purse. The woman on the checkout 19 just taken over 2pmish was calm and kind. She packed my shopping and put it on suspension until my husband turned up with my purse. The young girl on Customer Service was equal as patient and pleasant. Thank you
Staff are awesome, lovely supermarket and always has well stocked shelves. Would have been a 5 star review but EVERY SINGLE TIME I use the self scan handheld reader I am forced to have a check by staff, making a seamless exit painful as rescanning 100+ items of shopping is a waste of time. The staff hate doing it as well. Tesco need to get smarter.
I am a regular customer and often do large shops at misomer norton. Yesterday, I spent £325.00 as I purchased addional Christmas gift sets etc, with gift vouchers. After paying for Mt shopping, I was walking out of the store when the security guard asked me if I had a receipt for my shopping. I was taken aback by this as the detector had not gone off. I happily showed him my very long receipt. He didn't even bother looking at the receipt, just kept looking at my shopping. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life! I certainly will NOT be returning after being treated so appallingly.
Petrol receipts to get points shouldn't have an expiration. I have been getting my fuel from you and never get the chance to get my points as I come late in the evening.nStaff are always nice though.
