Had an unpleasant experience with the staff and manager.nI finished paying at the self service checkout where there was 4 staff there monitoring and all of them saw me paying. I paid with cash and chose the option for no receipt to be given out from the machine. When I finished paying I accidentally left the wrong way instead of the normal exit and one of the staff who watched me before caught me and instead of telling me to go the right way, ACCUSED ME OF STEALING. This caught the attention of the other staff at the self checkout and the manager. The staff all claimed that they never saw me pay which was a complete lie and I was left to be with the security guard for 15mins while the manager checked the CCTV. After he checked the CCTV he mumbled to the other staff that I didn't steak and the guard let me go, no one even apologised and just ignored me which was extremely rude!!!!nAlso in general the staff at the paying area are mostly just talking and don't help the customers until they realise later.
Horrible customer service at the trolley self checkout! Short lady with dark hair at the checkout bumped into my pram with trolley and didn’t even apologise. Just looked at me in disbelief of what she’s done and turned her head away. The rest of the staff was just chatting with each other not paying attention to customers needing their help. Really shocking how customer service downgraded here
I do my regular shopping here. Not the biggest Tesco Superstore - generally has all the items you would need but sometimes certain items will be out of stock - like baby formula when you need it the most. You won't need a coin to get a trolley at this store - which is a major plus. You may encounter rough sleepers asking for money at times but that's the case pretty much everywhere. Unfortunately, since covid the store has not gone back to operating 24hrs like most Tesco stores now a days, which is a big shame. All in all, a decent store - does the job.
The night manager Lee’s behaviour is very rude and he has closed the door before the 10 minutes to closing time. He kept me outside around 5 minutes and finally said it’s closing time and no one allow to in.
Exceptional security lady...challenging a woman stealing numerous bottles of alcohol...hugely disappointed to hear the store manager shout at her not to make a scene or confront the thief...no wonder they walk in and think they can boldly walkout without paying...nSecurity lady you are BRILLIANT
