Huge Tesco with plenty of parking Space This Store is spacious and airy , social distancing is well observed, disinfectants and hand sanitisers are right at the entrance. It Accommodates Costa Cafe , Tesco Mobile , Vission Express , F&F clothing and Travel Money service. serving its local community 24/7. As with this Tesco it’s well stocked and Organised you will probably find most of the things your looking for, plus some very good deals. I was looking for a Specific item and I find the Staff members informative and very helpful. Over all had an Excellent shopping experience
Staff very friendly, everything is clean and tidy , car park is enough and free with no maximum stay. Lovely place
Tesco in Bathgate is a convenient shopping destination with a diverse selection of products, making it a go-to choice for many. The store is generally well-maintained, but there are a few key areas where improvements could make a significant difference in the overall shopping experience. One aspect that could benefit from enhancement is the customer service. While the staff is generally polite, a bit more friendliness and proactiveness when approached for help would go a long way. Shoppers often appreciate guidance, especially when searching for specific items or navigating the store. Improved friendliness and assistance from the staff would undoubtedly make the shopping experience more enjoyable. Another area for improvement lies in the communication of staff responsible for picking items for delivery. Ensuring clear and timely communication about order status is essential for building customer confidence and trust. This could greatly enhance the overall online shopping and delivery experience for customers. Weekend shopping can be challenging, as it tends to get crowded, and it can sometimes appear that there may be a shortage of staff to manage the increased footfall. To address this issue, having more staff available during peak times, particularly on weekends, would significantly improve the shopping experience and reduce wait times. Furthermore, there is a need for additional self-checkout stations. With the growing demand for self-service options, providing more self-checkout counters would help alleviate congestion and enhance efficiency at the checkout. Despite these areas for improvement, Tesco in Bathgate remains a reliable and well-stocked supermarket. Its extensive product range and overall store cleanliness make it a popular choice for grocery shopping. With some adjustments to customer service, staff communication, and checkout options, it has the potential to provide an even better shopping experience. Therefore, I would rate it 4 stars, acknowledging its strengths and recognizing the opportunities for improvement.
Large supermarket, there is everything you need from a to z, very helpful staff, ample parking.
Whilst the shop is always well stocked the state of the ladies toilets is appalling ! Only one of the taps work and the hand dryer is useless. In the Wishaw store the toilets have a detailed account of when the toilets were last cleaned. Bathgate needs this badly !
Tesco’s potatoes are terrible - but the time you’ve peeled all the black bits off there’s nothing left
Visiting my mother and popped into the costa, which is when we were greeted by Cheryl who has EXCELLENT customer service skills. She was so bubbly, enthusiastic and incredibly helpful, as well as very tempting, when promoting in store offers and discounts. Definitely will be back :
Total joke!! Just been for weekly shop. Really busy and only have all their self service tills along the full shop. Every person before had to have assistance for the shopping. Eventually got to go through and had to pile all my shopping to the side and once paid then had to move to trolley. If you are expecting people to shop here get back on the normal tills!!
They said I can't leave my kids here for hours on end. Where am I meant to leave them if I want to go to the pub?
Getting sick and tired of this store, A few times this has happened now. I’ve been shopping, the time before today I was buying alcohol as Christmas presents. When I got to the checkout obviously they asked for ID which I had, the woman then asked my sister for ID. I questioned why she needed ID as it was me that was buying it and I was standing there with mine in my hand. The woman was quite rude about it but eventually let me have it. Tonight I was in, again with my sister as I’d gone in for a few things on top of a birthday gift. Again when we got to the checkout I was asked for ID which I had in my hand ready to show her and then my sister was also asked. I asked why she needed it as it was me buying it, I told her she was 15 and she told me that we looked similar ages therefore she couldn’t let me have it as she would get in trouble if she was caught. My sister looks her age, I look my age, if not older. I could understand her not approving it if I was standing there with no ID. But I was the person buying it. It’s extremely unfair to assume that I was buying it for her. At the end of the day it’s their loss, I actually found it cheaper in another shop but what’s the difference to someone that looks over 25 and wouldn’t get id’d standing there compared to me? I’ve been in that shop many times with my mum in the past and she’s been buying alcohol and I’ve never been asked for ID. It’s an absolute joke
