Always good and quick never have to wait to pay but good isn't that fresh only a couple of days the throw out like the bread 1 or 2 days and done plus onions everytime I buy a 3 pack of onions 1 is rank always! And always only 1 entrance open and it's the opposite side from the disabled parking ‍
God awful customer service. The staff all seem to have a chip on their shoulder, with the biggest 'Karens' with the most comical eyelashes reigning on the lotto / cigarette counter. The store itself is OK for a Tesco certainly not at Sainsbury's level, however the staff make you feel like you are trespassing on their own private world of out of date goods and you have to feel the wrath of their miserable, boring, unfulfilled lives. Horrible encounter. Do not visit unless you want to feel the utmost hostility from the moment you step foot in the grubby door.
It is a Tesco supermarket so you know what to expect, but....nnLarge trolleys, where are they all?nAt most you might see two or three in store, none in the trolley bays.nThis make shopping a right challenge when you have a lot of items to pick up, on more than one occasion I have had to go in twice.
My boyfriend and I were hungry after our shop at Tesco and decided to give the café a go.nnFirstly we were served by Scott, who was happy and gave off a very chilled vibe, which I like.nnWe ordered a halloumi burger each. I had the chocolate milkshake, and he had a large Americano.nnThe milkshake was really good actually, and the portion was decent. The coffee was even better though; it was really nutty and refreshing and came in a big mug. We both shared it!nnThe meal came with piping hot fresh chips coated in peri peri spice which tasted great, and the burger was really good too, although the burger and plate could've been warmer.nnThe burger was served in a plain untoasted bun which was fine, but the bun could've been toasted and/or seeded. That would've been nicer. The burger contained thick chunks of halloumi, two fresh tomato slices and lettuce. It had chilli jam and peri peri mayonnaise.nnThe prices were:nn£2.90 for the large coffee, which represents good valuenn£4 ish for the milkshake, which represents okay value, but could've been better. You'd expect to pay something like that for a drink from Costann£7.50 each for the burger and chips which was okay value, but it's about what you'd pay in a Wetherspoons.nnI gave the café 4 stars. The place was clean, spacious, had a wide variety of seating and table options. The food was good, but not great, and the service was fast and friendly.nnI would've given this café 5* if it offered better value for money, or some kind of clubcard incentives with money off or extra points, or even a combo meal/drink offer. The snacks and cakes in particular were quite expensive at £2-£2.50 for one slice or one muffin. For a supermarket, that's not really justifiable in my opinion, when you could just grab a pack of 4 muffins for cheaper, for example.nnOn the whole, I had a great meal with my partner and great, quick service!
Really need more self checkouts and a lot less staff standing around doing nothing, hiding in corners just chatting.nHas a decent toilet which is appreciated and decent vegan stock for this tiny island
