Terrible Tesco.nnVisited Tesco and I used the self checkout facility. I was accused of not having paid for my shopping. I produced my receipt with the purchased items. The young woman asked if the items on the receipt are the ones you've actually bought. I was then asked to come back to the checkout for further investigation. No apologies where given and I left the shop feeling like a criminal. Very rude and unprofessional. I won't be shopping with Tesco as their customer service is ghastly. It's unfortunate that Tesco holds almost a monopoly on large shopping centres in this area. A fairly large Sainsbury's has opened in WINCHBURGH a short drive away so I will be shopping there instead. Goodbye Tesco
I was here on a cruise ship and wanted to buy personal goods. I hate supermarkets who have member prices and expect you to buy more than one. Why do I want to have two or three items when I want only one. If they had consistently low prices and stop pushing product they would have more loyal customers. I noted the security cameras and the self service areas. My comments won't matter to them but why the cameras? The customers are passed off but they don't care.
Although busy, it was well stocked and the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Some of the staff on my last visit were new and were a little unsure about where things were after there had been some aisle shuffling. All good though and got the in the end.
Massive thank you to Tesco for their donation. They supported our project in the local community by providing us with some compost to enable some local children to grow vegetables .
