Perhaps the management of Heswall Tesco can answer a simple question for me? Are you a supermarket or a nightclub ? I know that you have quiet times, and therefore by definition, all of the other times are noisy so why not reverse the process. Make quiet times the norm and have your concept of music only at certain times. The process of shopping is stressful enough and the addition of your music only adds to this level of stress. My reaction is to get out of your shop as quickly as I can. So do you like to drive away customers to other supermarkets ?
I like Tescos but once again it is becoming increasingly frustrating to shop there. Tesco are great if you live in a family of 4 or more but, if like me, you live alone more and more of their products are packaged in a way unsuitable for you. Increasingly, more products are packaged in portions that are simply too large with a higher price coincidentally forcing customers to buy products they neither need or want. No doubt Tesco would argue that they are reducing packaging this way, but what is the point of reducing packaging if in the process you increase food waste? The whole process smacks of nothing more than forcing customers to spend more than they want. For example, today I wanted to buy Heinz chicken soup but it was only available in multipacks. Soup already comes in a tin so what other reason can there be to put in more packaging than to price gouge their customers?
31/08/2024. just been shopping in tescos heswall only 4 checkouts open big queues so had to use self service which you are forced to use mostly card we had cash we prefer to be served everyone was complaining in store some said they would go to aldi asked to see manager but never came we waited so long but had to go. soon as you go back to more tills the better
The supermarket itself is great, good selection of products and a really nice team, my post is about the car park. Beware the elderly drivers! In this area generally there are a lot of older drivers, many I'm sure very capable but 4 times in the last 6 months I've been parked near an elderly driver in this car park with their mind somewhere else large and small vehicles and my car has had minor damage at Tesco on two occasions with a further incident about 10 months ago. Two other times in the past six months, I prevented damage by getting out of my car and once I had to scream as someone was pulling up far too close next to me but had no awareness of how close they obviously had been to my front passenger door. Which is now marked on the handle where paint was scratch off, a small touch up paint cover is now there. This has also happened once at the local M&S in the past two months. I've tried to speak to both drivers on both occassions and they seem oblivious and stare into space. As I've said this is not the supermarkets fault but it's a problem for me and I would imagine other users of the car park. I now shop at times when I think it may be quieter. I don't mean to be unkind but it seems very unfair to myself and others.
I visited the cafe at exactly 8am on Wednesday 2nd July .I was told I had to wait 2 minutes in a very rude and spikey way .N ot what you expect when you have called in for breakfast.
Good supermarket with all the usual Tesco stuff, plenty of parking space, bus stop just outside, small cafe Inside, toilets
I called into this store a few weeks ago and did some shopping. I then went into the café and ordered some food & a coffee for a rest I am 72 years of age then went for a short walk before driving home. The service in the café was slow but the food was ok. Two weeks later I got a £40 fine from Horizon Parking who manage the Tesco car park for staying longer than 3 hours!!!! I had noted my arrival time at the car park and I was absolutely sure that I didn't stay over the 3 hour allotted time. However, with little or no proof and Horizon,s threats of a bigger fine if not paid within 14 days, I had no option but to pay. Probably the most expensive stop at a Tesco car park I'll ever have. Beware parking at this store!!!!!!!!!!
Very good shop. Plenty of free parking. Nice staff.
Came for something to eat but the all day breakfast was closed early and only offered to toast something. Cafe shuts earlier than advertised so avoid.
Nice shop but... £2.05 for a single can of coke in the cafe?
