Filled up on Sunday and few people on the pumps. Went to pay the cashier and a totally humourless guy aged early 20’s didn’t even look up after seeing me as he pressed buttons on a keyboard for a fair while. I read the card reader instructions and he just said ‘too early’ so I patiently waited and tried again contactless which it accepted. The most unengaging, humourless ignorant individual you can imagine. Where DO Tesco dredge up these employees from? Today I see on my statement that the fuel sum was taken TWICE then credited once. I shall not use contactless again at Tesco filling station Hornsea as I don’t trust the employees or the machine!
Slow service, the petrol station was really busy this morning and cars were hardly moving. I sat for approx 10 minutes behind a car waiting for a pump only to be approached by a female member of staff and told impolitely not to vape in my car , she said it was causing clouds of 'smoke' in the fuel station which is a joke as there was a motorbike sat waiting which was causing the clouds of smoke not my ecig, amazing how she could take the time out to leave the desk when the garage was packed with frustrated waiting customers. In my frustration I asked why I had been waiting ten minutes behind a car she told me sharply that 'his cards not working'. If someone is having issues with their card and the garage is overflowing with waiting cars then surely it would make sense to ask that customer to move his vehicle while his card issue was sorted and as for being told not to use an ecig in my car that is the biggest joke of all. Come on Tesco, educate your staff about how ecigs work, they don't produce smoke and don't have a a flame or burn anything.. I will take my customer elsewhere in the future.
There’s a great big shelter that keeps you dry in the rain. Great place to stop for a smoke.
Only a quick vist as all the pump's where packed with other road users and as I had just bought frozen foods from Tesco's it was more important to get them in the fridge before they were spoilt
Pay at the pump service on my Motorbike and because my visor was down I was asked to lift it up so they could see my face even though with a helmet on you can't tell what someone looks like!!, even though I was using my card at the pump!!
Fast efficient service but please don't call me darling young man , I'm old enough to be your grandma
Don't shop there a lot but go there more for diesel as it is usually the cheapest and we pass there quite often on way to see grandchildren.
The price of the momentum99 is cheaper than regular octane at most garages in the area
OK as per usual odd couple that will chat whilst being served that are jolly.
Nice and easy location and pay at the pump facility.
