I was disappointed that my regular Tesco Petrol station at Ferndown Dorset was closed just around 9am on Friday 22May 2026. I only had a few miles in the tank and needed a full one.nA number of potential customers were having to make VERY awkward turnarounds as the entrance was 'coned and taped' off so that the station forecourt couldn't be used!nThank goodness for Sainsburys just a mile away.nI'm wondering if and why they're having fuel supply problems, which is what I assume to be the cause of this closure.nI just tried using the advertised phone number for the petrol station and THERE IS NO OPTION during the preamble where you can get to the petrol station and there's an endless/fuitless wait I'm sure! Yet another waste of time! :
This is the most horrible Tesco Petrol station in the whole nation, always closed on Sundays without any advice or news, it showed open on google but once you arrive they have cones blocking the access, why this people running business like that they should bankrupt and let other business to succeed.
straight forward petrol.station. good access from main road. options of paying a pump or paying in kiosk. Card payments taken. sell petrol and diesel. currently no electric charging point at petrol station but there are a few points at the Tesco carpark about 100 metres away. you can check tyre pressures if needed. no car wash present
No matter what I want, I can be sure they haven't got it. 30° heat, been walking 4 hours in the sun, do they have ice creams? Of course not. Ice creams in the summer? God forbid. They did have iced coffee though so I had one of those. Memory recalls when I went in there a few months ago desperate for an iced coffee, alas there was none. Probably next time I go in wanting something else, they'll have the ice creams, probably in like december or something, you know, when you really fancy an ice cream ‍. Ah ha ha they probably won't have petrol tho .nI know you're thinking well why go to the Tesco garage that never has what you so require Sharni, you should know better.nTbf I hadn't planned on going, but had a Shein order to collect from the Inpost lockers and due to the couple with multiple parcels in front of me, I thought, well I know what to do, let's see if tesco garage sell ice creams today, but my luck is not good. Was gonna go off on a tangent about my horse bet today, but I dont think it would be appreciated, although if you've read as far as this, then fair-play is that a fist-bump emoji?? I really dont know, but that's what it's meant to be. Anyway laugh at my 1p loss bet
WARNING: CLOSES EARLIER THAN 22:00.nLone female, needed fuel, only 25 miles left in tank, arrived at 21:45 to find that shop/kiosk wouldn't take payment and, as pumps don't accept contactless payment, I couldn't make a purchase. Luckily for me, Sainsbury's just down the road DO honour their advertised hours and I happily spent £95 on diesel there!nPoor show, Tesco. Given that this isn't the first Google review about closing early, perhaps you should amend your advertised opening hours??
