This Tesco is by far the worst I have encountered. I bought batteries and, after realizing I needed a different size, I returned to the store to exchange them. Initially, I was told the system was down and to come back in 15 minutes. However, when I returned, the system was still not working. I was then directed to discuss the matter with a bald gentleman, who was incredibly rude. He interrupted me three times as I tried to explain the situation, showing a complete lack of customer service skills. He didn’t seem to know how to properly communicate with a customer. After our conversation, he laughed and spoke in his native language with a colleague, which was extremely unprofessional. When I requested to speak to a manager, I was told to come back the next morning at 9 AM, which seemed unreasonable. I then called Tesco’s customer service, who offered a returnless refund via a gift card for the same amount. They were overall okay to talk to, though they didn’t apologize. Upon returning to the store with my e-gift card to buy the batteries, I was informed that their gift card scanning system was down and to try again the next day. The whole experience was frustrating and disrespectful, and I intend to file a complaint to bring attention to the situation at the Southall Tesco Express.
I’m sure it’s not the staffs fault but the security is atrocious and the store is shut pretty much every day at random times, probably due to shop lifting which is nevertheless really inconvenient. It’s only getting worse and worse as well
Horrible costume service the queue was long was too longue when 3 automatic tills were close when a asked the lady working there to open it as it was big queue she gaves me attitude ans says it’s not working ????! Worst tesco exprès I have seen

After years this store has finally gotten self checkout machines - some people are saying this is the best news since the announcement of the covid vaccine.nnSadly the store is still too small - would it really hurt Tesco PLC to extend the store so we don't have to queue down a tiny Isle next to leaking freezers?nnThe staff are lovely and it's one of the few Tesco stores where the staff still actually bag your items for you.
