Is this the worst Tesco ever? Terrible stock control, prices frequently differ between the shelf and the till so ALWAYS check your receipt. Today I bought some frozen vegan pork strips only to find they were 6 weeks past their sell by date. Hiw can there be any excuse for that?
Third visit this week, I’m developing Rickets, nothing fresh. Doughnuts , biscuits everywhere but not a drop of tomato juice to drink. I’m wondering if this place has a multi million pound sponsorship deal with a statin company. Ye gods.
Never overcrowded, easy parking. ATM, car cleaning, toilets and now a new petrol station almost ready. Friendly staff and always have enough choice of food and non food items.
Automated petrol station all lit up but pumps bolted together, if its closed maybe turn off the lights/card machines?
Generally okay, but not great. Certain staff members are very rude and act like an idiot because of covid rules. Shelves are not fully stocked. The last few months I experienced many times and I couldn't buy things that I wanted. Parking is okay, access is okay. However, i do less and less of my shopping in this Tesco, mainly because of the behaviour of certain staff members. If they don't like me I am happy to spend my money elsewhere.
Well I just thought this was needed now, just from the lady dealing with self service today, I expected to see an SIA licence attached to her the way she was guarding the recycled shopping bags which are well overpriced at 20p considering I used to work at the factory where they are made, they cost less than a penny to make. I even checked it for gold lining. The woman guarding them by carrying them around literally was telling everyone how to scan the bags or would scan them herself because and I quote 'I'm fed up with everyone nicking them today'. The way in which she speaks to people is actually not very good customer service, please tesco retrain the staff to respect everyone instead of trying to show dominance, self service is there because we don't want to deal with the staff that try to intimidate like this.
Wish they would stop changing store layout. Know why they do it but in these times when cost are high it encourages non urgent spend on items that are not key.
A person at aisle 6, 10 past 12, 6th of sep was very sociable. He's now at the team but definitely not bad at all!
The only reason I shop here is the parking really or I would shop at Morrisons. I am a carer , my elderly gentleman can't get out of his car in Morrisons , the parking is to narrow . Tesco fruit is never fresh, they dont have a good selection of ready puddings . I can never get creme caramel which my elderly gent loves . The meat section is very nice . There is always empty shelves . Its not really a superstore. Staff are pleasant. Good selection of alcohol.
Generally poor. Lots of items constantly out of stock, especially fresh fruit and vegetables, come the weekend the shelves are bare. Coupled with poorly trained staff it's no surprise the place seems never full, in fact quiet - could be that most people are savvy enough to shop at Aldi or Lidl for better prices on better products. A shame as prior to moving to Gloucestershire a year ago, our Hertfordshire store was excellent, of similar size and really well stocked with a great variety of products, when I wrote to Tesco asking why there was such a difference in stores they couldn't answer and offered me a £10 voucher which I declined. I now shop at Aldi in Stroud, an extra 2 miles but savings of up to 30-40%+ on own brands.
