Massive Tesco with a petrol station. For some reason, Tesco has cut the trees down in the pavement near the crossing! What were you honestly thinking!? Now the pavement looks ugly! Also, there are food counters, clothing shop, an optician, and a photo shop in the shop.
I rarely have any problems shopping at this store. The staff are always helpful. However, I have noticed that in the toilets, although reasonably clean in the cubicles, the sinks and plugholes would benefit from a bit of a clean, they don't appear to have been done on a regular basis and the areas around sinks are grubby. In the store itself the drainage channels in the fridges for meat and cold food could also do with a good clean.
Lovely place to go late at night when it's quiet and calm. They used to have a quiet hour for autistic and sensitive shoppers, but I don't know if they still do. The clothing range is really good here. Vegan options are okay
The last half a dozen visits we had to queue for 10min plus at the checkouts. This was not because Tesco was busy but because there were only 3 or 4 checkouts open. Tescos are clearly trying to get customers to use self service checkouts. This is fine for a dozen items or less for some but by no means good for a lot of people. Seriously considering shopping elsewhere now.
I do not live in the area, but I have family that do. So when I am around I occasionally shop in Tesco. I normally would rate my shopping experience around 3.5 stars on average. However, I had to write a review, because I received exceptional service today from Karon on the tills around 15:30ish today 18/09/20222 and she delivered such great customer service. She was so friendly, good pace with processing my shopping, considerate and professional. I honestly think Tesco staff would benefit from learning from her . She brought a smile to my day with the little conversation we shared and appeared she so genuine and kind, which is a breathe of fresh air. Karon is an asset to Tesco from personalising your shopping experience by using your items as a good conversation starter and checking on a customers well-being.
23 scos, 5 red lights, 2 basket re-scans on scan and go, 2 members of staff to do it all = extended lunch break. I like this store and the people are usually dead helpful but Tesco you have got it all wrong. Convenience and speed is the reason for self scan checkouts !!!
Quite a few items were of stock. Went around 7pm and some of the aisle were stuffed with roll cages so made it difficult to get round and look at what stock they did have. The toilets were quite frankly revolting. Decided against using them they were that bad. Really unimpressed and likely not to return.
Busy place but, staff will stop and deal with your request if needed and will guide you to the appropriate aisle. Shelves are always well stocked and cafe is a reasonably relaxing place to take the weight off your feet whilst having a coffee or bite to eat.
Easy to find, with dedicated entrance lane just before the roundabout. Tesco ball on a stick structure is a very helpful landmark.
Went into the cafe today before doing our normal weekly shop 30th July 22, loads of stuff not available, wrap that was supposed to have bbq sauce in had none, went to lady at counter for her to say we don’t have any and there is none on the shelves in the store” ‍‍ see photo taken 10 mins after finishing lunch - loads of bbq sauce !!!! My wife had the goats cheese and red onion toastie and it was more a red onion toastie, the cheese you had to hunt to find it !!! At nearly £6 a go I expect it to be as advertised - sort yourselves out Tesco, really very very poor !!!
