Nice spacious pub. Very friendly barman. Would definitely go back for a few pints next time I'm in Monaghan town.

We had a fantastic few nights here during the Christmas season. We have been to many pubs and never came across anything like this GEM of a place, it is such a friendly pub. Family run with brilliant professional staff, always on hand to accommodate customers, from greeting you on entry to getting you seated and even giving you an umbrella when walking back to the hotel in the rain. The owner Terry, his wife Bridie, son Paul and all the other excellent staff including the waiter are SO welcoming and professional. This is such a charming and spotlessly clean pub it is a MUST visit when in Monaghan, you won't be disappointed. We loved everything about it and most definitely will be back. Up from the big smoke, all I can say is a great bar and a witty staff.
