Gone are the days of cheap days out with the kids or even out with a partner but I took the opportunity to visit tenpin swindon with my two children during their half-term offer of two games for £28.00 including food. I neglected to check the price of the food once i arrived to see how much i saved which was a bad move on my part but given my bad moves during the entire two games of bowling i like to think i keep things at a continuous level of poor adulting throughout the visit. I did look around the venue as i went to the bar and spotted around 12 full sized pool tables, lots of various arcade games, small 20p prize turners and a VR simulator. All lanes had plastic dividers like they do at checkouts but other than that and the offer of hand gel when you enter the building there isn't much in the way of covid security. But then how could you do much more? Staff cleaned the area you sat in once you left before the next people sat down. That's as much as you could ask i guess. Toilets were a bit grotty. But i suppose the building has been there for years and it's had a lot of visitors!! Food was a bit grotty too but nothing less than I'd expect from a bowling alley. Kids didn't seem to mind. It actually didn't taste all that bad. It just outwardly didn't look all that appealing or seem like a large portion. There did seem to be a large amount of aids for children or people who need them to help bowl. Nobody seemed to be grappling over them due to short supply. The bar area was really quite inviting. I wouldn't mind spending a few hours here playing pool and downing a few glasses of something stronger than pepsi. There was a great variety of slushy drinks available. From memory There was cola, cherry, raspberry and lime. There may have been another but i have the memory of a fish. The whole place was buzzing and should you be interested in making a day of your visit there is a pizza hut nearby as well as a cinema next door. Biggest gripe was being beat by my 5 year old on his first ever bowling venture.
Great night out fun with many pool tables, pinball lanes, gaming machines, drinks and above all the atmosphere which is full of life. Helpful Polite staff with a smile on their face. Highly recommended, don’t miss.
Having lived in this part of Wiltshire almost all my life, tenpin as always been a favourite. Used to go a lot in my younger years but have returned in my adult life! It's been nicely refurbished, been modernised a lot since I last came! Good facilties, gaming machines, pool tables, air hockey tables and the like. There is also a bar and food served too. I can't comment on the food as haven't had it but bar is good. Would recommend!
We had an incredible time! I would never have guessed such a big and wide ranging facility would be around in our area. There's around 30 bowling lanes, arcade games, pool tables and more. We've been a couple times and the size alone is impressive without considering all the things that are available to have a go at. Would recommend but be prepared for it to be busy on weekends especially. Well worth a visit
It's overall a good fun place to go on any night, the one feature that really lacks was the staff, it seemingly took about 5-10 minutes every time we were at the counter for someone to walk over and serve us, it was very busy when we went so that would be why but on a weekend you'd think about having more staff to cover the peak hours. There were also a few machines out of order and a few dispensing tickets but another minor setback as there's quite a range of things to do for 2-4 people, the bowling itself was quite a good experience, plenty of variety on the balls and weights and finger sizes which is something I often struggle with so that's another plus for them. Overall it was okay, staff and machines let the place down a bit so service was on the slower end but also with how busy it was could of done with a few more there, the security guard was having more interactions and servicing customers more than the staff were, from what we saw.
We've been a couple of times now, for the children to bowl. A decent deal for two games and food as of Feb 2023. They enjoy the bowling it's been decades since I set foot in a bowling alley, had no idea bumpers existed as a thing, and also quite enjoy the arcade. A nice way to pass a couple of hours.
Excellent prices for Tuesday, HALF PRICE? for drink and bowling? so unheard of, and unique, great range of arcades, well kept bowling balls and lanes. Fantastic staff service, Bar guys Chris and Jamie were just amazing, Chris was just so happy, And Jamie was just so nice making conversation with me. Would come again 10/10
Always a pleasure to take my son to tenpin. They are always changing games from one place to another which is good and shows they are rotating stuff.
Good place to have fun with the kids . And adults. I go there specially for bowling . And the punching speed measurer. There are lots of game's for kids aswell. Video games. Pool. Ext .. you get food and refreshments. Make sure you order your food online. If you don't book your food online. you will not be able to order it inside. Because they don't keep stock or are always short staffed
The whole group had fun, and with ages ranging from 2 to 71 there aren't many activities that give you that. Definitely not a fan of the slot machines which were a huge distraction for the 5 year old. But we did have a very good time.
