It's really a huge state with something for everyone. Playground, waterbodies, garden makes it perfect for outing. All around green filed with huge tree sideby makes it beautiful. This is the best park probably visited till now in Leeds. If you are a nature Lover, this is the place for you!!. Few snaps of my visit. Playground: Yes Restrooms: Not Sure ! Dog-friendliness: Yes Picnic area: Yes
I didn’t get to Temple Newsam to see the rhododendrons as planned this year, but did manage to fit in a quick visit today. The grounds really are magnificent! I love the walled garden and the many paths which lead around the estate. We also visited the tea rooms for a late lunch-friendly staff and lovely food; generous portion sizes too. You can explore the grounds for free but there are charges to visit the house, farm and Go Ape we passed this as we headed back to eat-looks like great fun! Parking is free except for the carpark nearest the drive in entrance which is £4.70; this can be paid online or by visiting the gift shop. Recommended!
Huge estate. Beautiful grounds and gardens. So much space to explore. Lovely place for jogging or to take the kids for a stroll. There is also a really decent kids playground on site too. Free parking. Various events on throughout the year.
Tired tired tired! Needs completely pulling down and a new play area in its place. This park is next to the main car park for the temple newsam estate. It's visited all day long and is so worn out. Lots of damaged equipment, rotting wooden features, and peeling paint .
Very nice. Took my fiends dog out for a walk not knowing the grounds. Sound myself exploring the trails and paths. Grounds are very well kept and the wildlife seems very happy. Great of you want to have a long walk or exercise with views. Dog-friendliness: Lots to explore and plenty of poop bins Picnic area: Lots of places to set down.
I PERSONALLY LOVE THIS PLACE . ITS A BIT BAREN AT THE MOMENT. BUT WILL LOOK LOVELY IN THE SPRING AS SNOW DROPS AND DAFF'S ARE JUST STARTING TO SHOW . LOOKS LIKE ALOTOF WORK HAS BEEN DONE IN THE PLAY AREAS, AND ALL THE GROUND AROUND THE SWINGS AND SLIDES HAVE BEEN LEVELLED . STILL ABIT BOGGY ON THE PATHS HEADING DOWN TO LAKE . Restrooms: ALL THE TOILETS ARE LOCKED AT THE MOMENT. BUT YOU EXPECT THAT THIS TIME OF YEAR .
Great afternoon visit here. Really nice well preserved Elizabethan house. I think it's older in places, but predominantly it's of this style. Many of the furniture and fittings are original which is rare in many houses of this age. Fantastic expansive grounds, walled garden and farmyard animals for kids.
This is a large park with loads of green space and good play areas. The farm is £4 for Adults and £2.70 for children with under 5’s free. The farm is really good and has a play area that is only accessible from the farm. There are lots of cobbles so even though it has disabled access it is very bumpy. The cafe is reasonable, the shop is very over priced - £2.75 for a jumbo cookie, £2.50 for a caramel slice. There is lots of outdoor space for eating, but if it is wet there is not enough indoor space on busy days. There is also a ‘go-ape’ adventure and you can pay extra to go into the house if you feel the need. Have fun!
Lovely place for a walk. We walked 5km with our 7 month old baby in our all terrain pram and it was a great walk. We parked in one of the free car parks and had a lovely walk.
Beautiful park, highly recommend the Walled Gardens. Great place for dog walking and/or for a day out with the kids.
